Never Really Over

chapter 17

Olivia's pov

I arrive at Stamford bridge and pull into the car park. I get out the car and head for the main entrance.

"Hi I'm here for the game..." I began but the girl cut me off.

"Olivia grealish?" She smiled. "Just head on through. I presume you know the way?"

I nodded. I did attend the games before for Ben.  I made it to the bit where family and girlfriends would sit for the games to find Sophia; Kai's girlfriend already seated.

"Hi Olivia!" She smiled, standing to hug me.

"Sophia!" I smiled back

We sat down and began to talk as the stadium began to fill up.

"It's good to see you! Are you and Ben back together?" She asked innocently.

I thought Kai may have told her but I guess not.

I shook my head. "No, we split a good few months ago.. he cheated"

Her hands flew to her face in shock. "I'm so sorry. I never knew.."

"It's fine" I shrugged.

"No one said anything. Not even Kai. I did read something in the paper but I thought it was lies.. you know how it is"

"Yeah. Usually it is lies but not this time"

She leaned closer so no one around us could hear; not that they would, fans had already started singing blue is the colour even though the squad wasn't out yet.

"Are you here to support him still as friends?"

"Nope. I'm here to support the whole team but mase invited me" i whispered back.

"Oh is something happening there?"

"Not yet"

Sophia was about to reply when the announcement came that the teams were entering the pitch.

The Chelsea squad came out first followed by the Norwich city  squad.

I looked at the team to see mase staring straight at me, a smile on his face. Ben beside him doing the same thing.

I smiled back at mase and waited for the game to kick off.

We were at half time on the game and Chelsea were already 3-0 up. Thanks to mason,  Callum Hudson-odoi and Reece James.

I was so pleased for the boys and Sophia and I couldn't stop cheering or shouting encouragement for the team.

Sophia and I sat talking  until the game began again.

Cheers erupted around us as Ben fired a goal into the net.

I was pleased for him.He ran past where Sophia and I were sitting and smiled at me.

I could see mason behind him to celebrate his goal with him and didn't know what to do.

I just felt awkward .

On the 85th minute Chelsea were given a penalty and mason was to take it. I nervously stood nibbling the end of my acrylics, stomach doing summersaults. He breathed in and focused before firing it into the back of the net.

I cheered his name so loudly as he ran over to where I was sitting to mouth 'that was for you'

Sophia lightly touched my arm to smile as I smiled at him.

The score was now 6-0 due to a Norwich player netting a own goal.

Just as the game was about to end mase fired a final goal into the net, making it a hat trick.

"I love this team!" I cheered to Sophia

"Me too" she cheered back as we jumped up and down celebrating.

Mase ran past doing a heart shape with his hands to me, closely followed by Kai and Ben.

I could see Ben eyeing mason and I just hoped he wouldn't say anything about why he was doing it.

After the game ended, I could see tuchel congratulating the players. Mason and Ben were standing at the sidelines and it looked like there were.... arguing?

A/N another chapter guys! I know it's not good but I wanted to get a new one uploaded. Next chapter will be from mason's pov after the game ends and you'll find out why they were arguing.. though you probably have guessed by now. Thanks for the support
