Never Really Over

chapter 2

Olivia's pov

"The boys are on the way" jack called upstairs to us both.

"Okay" we replied

"You sure about seeing him?" Sasha questioned as we headed downstairs

"Honestly. No."

She raised her eyebrow. "What do you mean no?"

"I still feel hurt by what happened. Then I miss him"

"Talk to him" jack cut in as we entered the living room. "In all honesty he's missing you"

"Let's see" I replied, not throwing the idea of talking to him away completely.

I sat down on one of the sofas as jack spoke again.

"I think it would do you both good to talk it out. Mason and Tammy are looking forward to seeing you" he quickly added.

I smiled a little. "I can't wait to see them. It's been ages since we've all chilled together"

"Do you want a glass of wine?" Sasha asked from the doorway, not wanting to interrupt brother/sister talk.

"Yes please" I smiled at her.

She nodded. "A beer for you jack?"

"Yeah babe" he answered.

Sasha disappeared into the kitchen as the doorbell went.

"I'll get it" I said to jack and got up.

I opened the door to find Ben, Mason and Tammy all on the doorstep dressed in hoodies and jogging bottoms.

"Liv" Tammy smiled brightly and stepped forward to hug me. "It's been ages since I've seen you"

"I know Tam" I replied, returning the hug. "Jack's in the living room"

He nodded and disappeared down the hall.

Ben just stood staring at me, not knowing what he should do.

"Hey liv" mason stepped forward, wrapping his arms around me. "I've missed you"

"I've missed you too Mase" I replied, hugging him back.

"You look beautiful" he whispered in my ear, making me blush slightly.

I couldn't reply but smiled sheepishly at him, hoping my cheeks weren't red.

Ben was last to step into the hallway.

"Olivia" he spoke.

"Ben" I replied coldly.

"It's nice to see you. How have you been?"

I shrugged. "As good as can be considering the hurt you caused"

I know I shouldn't be like that but if I don't I'd just reach out and hug him like I want to do.

"I'm sorry" he adverted his gaze to the floor.

At this point Sasha came out of the kitchen catching my eye.

"You okay?" She mouthed and I nodded.

She held up the glass of wine and signalled that she'd put it in the living room.

"Sorry won't cut it Ben" I folded my arms over my chest as he looked back at me. "You really hurt me by cheating. Made me feel like I wasn't good enough when all I did was love you"

I gulped to stop tears from falling.

"I know.." he trailed off. "Do you fancy sitting later on and talking it all out?"

"I suppose"

He leaned over and kissed my cheek, taking me by surprise.

"Let's go and join the others" I quickly spoke and headed into the living room, Ben behind me.

I went and sat where I previously was to find Mason had sat on the same one.

"I can move if you want and let Ben sit here" he spoke as I sat down.

"No, it's ok. Stay where you are" I smiled. " Me and Ben still aren't okay with each other"

He nodded knowingly.

Ben took the seat next to Tammy as jack and Sasha sat together.

"I'm just going to get a glass of water" I said, using it as my excuse to get out of the room.

On the way past Sasha, she looked up and mouthed "do you want me to come with you?"

I nodded and entered the kitchen.

I poured myself a glass of wine and took a big gulp.

"You okay?" Sasha asked as she joined me at the sink.

"No. I don't know what to do. Do I speak to him or just leave it be?"

Sasha shrugged. "That is your choice. No one can make the decision for you"

"I miss him. I do Sasha" I spoke silently incase any of them were listening. "But I don't think I can forgive him"

"Yeah" Sasha said as she poured herself a glass of wine and took a seat at the island.

I took the seat across from her as she sipped her drink.

"Maybe talking to him would help sort out how your feeling"

"Yeah, maybe" I shrugged.

"We better go back in or they'll all think we've ran away" Sasha giggled, heading for the doorway.

"Yeah. Jack being the first" I added with a smile, following behind her.

I loved him. I really did, but can I forgive the fact he cheated on me with a girl that isn't worth the time?
