Never Really Over

chapter 9

Sasha's pov

"Ready to go?" I asked Liv as I peeked my head round the living room door.

"Yes" she smiled getting up.

"See you later?" I heard mason ask

"Yeah if your all still here" Liv shot back playfully.

She came out into the hall and slipped on her jacket before picking up her bag.

We both never spoke a word until we got into my car and pulled out of the driveway.

"Are you okay?" I asked and I could see her nodding from the corner of my eye.

"Yeah. I'm always fine" she lied. "I just needed to get out of the house"

I raised my eyebrow and turned to look at her since we had stopped at traffic lights.

"I know your lying. What's wrong?"

"Nothing" she sighed. "Ben as usual. That's why I need a coffee"

We both stayed silent until we reached the coffee shop.

We had been sitting in the coffee shop booth for about an hour now. We were currently two coffees in and a muffin each but no closer to resolving Olivia's problem.

"We spoke this morning again and he apologised" she rolled her eyes. "Again"

I laughed a little. "What are you going to do?"

"That's just it. I don't know what to do. Do I give him another chance or do I leave it"

"It's up to you. Only you can make the decision"

"Then with kissing mason...." She trailed off. "Makes me kind of like him"

I gasped. "You like mason?"

"Yeah a little. But I can't help wonder if it's because we kissed"

"You need to figure your head and heart out"

"I know I do" she stirred her now cold coffee.

"It's not about who gives you attention or who doesn't. At the end of the day it's about who will be loyal to you and only have eyes for you" i smiled. " The one you want to see every day and fall in love with over and over again..."

"The one who will love me no matter what" Olivia finished.

"Exactly" I beamed. "The choice you have to make now is that person going to Ben again or could it be mason?"

"I'm not sure" she frowned. "I don't know if i could trust ben again. And I don't think mason would treat me badly"

"Mason wouldn't. Mason does love you"

Olivia raised her eyebrow. "Yeah, as a friend Sasha"

"Yeah... But it could end up a different way"

What Olivia didn't know is mason did love her more than a friend. When Olivia got with Ben, he was devastated. And then when Ben did what he did, mason was the first to tell ben straight.

"I'm sure ill figure it out" she smiled brightly. "Thanks Sasha. This has helped. I'm seeing things a little differently now"

I smiled back at her. "I'm here for you always"
