Author's POV:
8:30 p.m.
By this time, almost everyone had gotten dressed in their formal outfits and finished up by adding additional accessories, cologne and perfumes that made Chopper choke up many times given his sensitivity to strong scents.
"Woah, were is everyone?" Luffy asked, seeing that out of the eight crewmates he had, only two of them were on the ship while the rest had already gone into the restaurant.
"They left already. I suppose Franky, you, and me are the only ones here." Robin chuckled, winking at Franky who had a suspicious smirk on his lips.
"We should get going now. Luffy, Robin and I have our own seats reserved and so do you, so I think you should go ahead of us." Franky suggested to the younger man.
"Oh, are you sure?" The couple nodded, giving Luffy the extra push he needed in getting to the restaurant alone.
Though the Captain was overflowing with confidence and independence, deep down inside... His nerves were getting to him as his stomach was tied in knots for the first time in awhile.
The thought of actually being on a blind date with someone unbeknownst to him hadn't felt as real as it did in this moment while entering the restaurant.
Instantly, the addictive aromas of dishes Sanji's cooked for him before and some undiscovered recipes that the Cook had been saving as an exclusive, signature dish for the restaurant itself had filled up Luffy's lungs, making him sigh.
"Table for... Two, please." He requested, looking at a woman he had never met before.
"Do you have reservations, sir?" She asked, making Luffy gulp.
"I suppose, ha..ha..." Seeing how visibly nervous the young, elegant man had gotten, she assisted him.
"What's your name?"
"I'm Luffy. Monkey D. Luffy!" He announced, earning many different stares from the people around him.
In the crowd of hungry customers, he saw a few familiar faces. The woman who he had given his name to had started to freak out.
"Oh... Oh! Please, right this way, Mister! We have a special seat reserved for you tonight, sorry to keep you waiting." Walking behind her, the young Captain was slightly confused as to why he was being treated so differently than before.
He didn't mind it, contrary to that; he enjoyed feeling recognized by so many people, even if he had no idea who they were.
"You belong in one of these eight exclusive booths, just for the Strawhat members. Please, have a seat, young man." She bowed her head down, making Luffy feel like royalty.
This brought a smile to the boy's face while he politely sat down, looking at how special this booth was in comparison to the regular ones outside of the area he had been moved into.
On his slender figure was a slim fitted, vibrant scarlet colored tuxedo shirt with a dark black suit that added elegance and just the right amount of contrast to the outfit, making Luffy stand out.
Accompanied by the suit was a long black, silk tie that was wrapped securely around his red collar.
His hair was parted to the right side of his face, showing off even the most imperceivable features he had, therefore enhancing them to the public eye.
"Your date will be arriving shortly, sir. Can I offer you a drink for starters or would you like to order something right away?" The waiter asked, putting Luffy's practice to use as he mentally debated on what to say to the man in return from what he had learned with Robin.
"Yes, I'm ready to order... Well, actually, I was supposed to meet up with someone tonight you see, so I would prefer for us to order our meal together, if possible." He divulged to the waiter with tranquility.
Nodding at his star costumer, the waiter smiled at him.
"Of course. Your date arrived here just a little while ago, yet it appears they were given a different seat. I'm going to inform them to move this person to your table right away, our most sincere apologies, sir." Luffy was amazed at how everyone was treating him, it made him feel like a true King.
"They sure do treat people with respect around here, I hope I don't mess anything up." Taking a steep breath out, the Captain grew distracted by the beautiful glass centerpiece in front of him with soft baby pink roses.
Everything detail within the restaurant had something special to it for Valentine's Day.
"Woooah, amazing!!" Luffy covered his mouth after feeling he had gotten too overly excited over the decorations on the elegant rectangular table.
"Please, right this way. We gave you the wrong table at first, I'm very sorry about that."
The young adult couldn't help but to overhear an interesting conversation going on in between his waitress and this supposed blind date of his.
Judging by the voice, he could tell it belonged to a man which made things even more interesting for him.
In the back of his mind, the idea of being on a date with another guy on Valentine's Day sounded most pleasing to him.
Sure, the thought of backing out was always persistent in Luffy's headspace, however, when he noticed how many loving couples were enjoying their time together when he first entered the restaurant, it left him with a lot to reflect on.
"No worries, I get lost all of the time in most places... Even in my own ship." Getting a glimpse of what the person's voice sounded like and hearing what they had said, there was no doubt in Luffy's mind that they were a male.
"My date is.. A GUY?" Analyzing what the stranger had told the waiter, the boy started to think.
"His own ship? He's a pirate like me!" A faint blush appeared on his cheeks as the waiter opened the door to where their private dining area was, letting Luffy's blind date inside.
"Your date is in the very last booth, he said he would wait until you arrived to order dinner with you."
"He? Who is 'he'?" The date asked, getting closer and closer to where the Captain was seated at, waiting patiently to meet this mysterious person.
"Your date, of course." Unexpectedly, the date apologized and started to walk away just before their face was exposed to Luffy.
"Is something not to your liking, sir?"
"This was a mistake, please tell that person I can't accompany them on my behalf." Just before they walked away, the young man felt offended and stood up, slamming his hands against the table.
"SAY IT TO MY FACE THEN, COWARD!" Upon turning around after hearing such a familiar voice, then both Luffy and the stranger were taken by surprise.
"You?!" The man shouted, earning the same response from Luffy.
"YOU!?"
