Time with You

"Yumi-chan! Come, your mama is almost here! Are you okay, Ryu-kun? Do you need help packing up your toys?" I asked the twins as they got themselves ready.

"Ran, can you get Yumi ready? Mio-san and senpai will be here to pick them up" I asked Ran, who was in the kitchen munching on some chips.

"Hmm?"

"They'll be here in a couple of minutes to pick up the twins"

"Oh yeah, sorry"

I rolled my eyes and helped Ryu pack his toys. His idea of staying home and watching movies all day includes the Ishikawa twins. I love the twins, I really do and Mio-san and Yuki-senpai are very dear to me, but it's like almost every weekend. I need some time with him before he leaves for Italy.

The intercom rang and Ran answered it. I heard Yuki-senpai's voice and Ran buzzed them in.

"Papa?" Ryu asked as I zipped up his hoodie and putting his hat on.

"Mhmm, they're here. You miss them?" I asked the toddler.

He nodded at first before looking at me, "Miss.. hmm.. Aya too," he smiled.

"I'll miss you too, but I'll see you again" I told him. He gave me a hug before I lifted him in my arms.

I then saw Aya running down the hallway, giggling, Ran right behind her with her socks. Serves him right.

"Aya-chan, come on. They'll be here in a minute" Ran called to Aya.

"But.. don't wanna go" she whined as she crawled under the dining table.

I heard a knock on the door and I opened it. Senpai and Mio-san greeted me with a bright smile. She's showing now and glowing. I let them in after Ryu asked senpai to carry him.

"How was your date?" I asked.

"It was great, thank you for looking after the twins today" Mio-san said and handed me a box of cake.

"Papa!" I heard Yumi shout, running to senpai, one socks missing.

"Yumi-chan, come back here" Ran was running behind her, sliding to a stop when he saw senpai and Mio-san standing at the kitchen.

It took another 10 minutes before they were ready leave. We said our goodbyes to the Ishikawa family, but not before scheduling a brunch with Mio-san. The moment the door closed, I sighed. I just want to relax now and actually spend some time with Ran.

As I entered our bedroom, I saw him getting ready.. for what?

"Going somewhere?" I asked as I watch him I put his watch on and fix his hair from the door.

"Yeah, a couple of uni friends are in the area and wanted to catch up"

"Oh, who?"

"Rio and Neji, my old roommates"

"I see... you can't postpone it or move it to another night?"

He sighed, "I can't.. you know I'll be busy in the next few days and then I have to leave for Italy"

He walked out of the room and I followed right behind him to the genkan. He took his shoes out and made sure that his wallet and keys are with him.

"Ran.."

"Hmm?"

"Can't you just skip? We haven't really spend some time together and-"

"Aya, it's just for tonight. Besides we've spending this past few weekends inside, watching movies and eating take outs"
