Chapter 7

The day went by slowly. all I wanted to do was go on the date with david. god I'm turning into a sappy romance girl. I shake my head snapping myself out of it. "She's just thinking about lover boy." I hear Madison say to someone. wait what? I snap my head in her direction. I see her talking to this girl in our class we don't really talk to anyone but eachother often but she's right I was in a dreamy state. they both laugh when they notice I heard what they said. "I love you chlo but that wasn't even half of the truth." Madison said and I laughed with her knowing how true that was. the last bell rang and I jumped from my seat running to my locker. I did all my homework at lunch so I wouldn't have to do it tonight. I shoved my entire bag in my locker grabbing a few bills and shoving them in my pocket. "That won't be needed." I hear a deep voice say. I turn and see David across the hall leaning on the wall hands in his pockets. this moment is so cliche I realize laughing. "what won't?" I ask deciding to play dumb. I don't want him paying for me like some stupid gender rule. he looks at me knowingly and gestures to my pocket. I shrug pretending like I don't understand. "ready to go?" I say smiling. he nods grabs my hand and pulls me out the doors. not slow and cute but running. apparently he decided I was running to slow behind him because he picked me up bridal style and continued running with me to his car. the surprise showed on my face as I squeeled and hugged him tighter. I didn't miss the rumble of his chest the jerk was laughing at me. i hit his chest hardly knowing it wouldn't effect him much. "hey that's not very nice princess." he said jokingly. I stiffened at the nickname princess. I almost forgot all about my nightmare. He stopped running and I looked around. we were already at his car. David was looking at me worried and I decided I ask him about Damian after the date. I wouldn't want to ruin it. "what's wrong?" I forced a smile. "nothing nothings wrong." I jump out of his arms and run to the other side of the car. He unlocked the doors and we both got in. "where to than fine sir?" I ask. he sends me a look "oh to the lovely palace of Ice. princess chloe." his reply didn't make sense but I decided to ignore it he wouldn't tell me and why does he keep calling me princess? Out of all the nick names he could give me princess is the oddest he could have picked. I'm no where near a princess. After some small talk I fell in I a small sleep.

I woke up to someone shaking me. "five more minutes." I reply sleepily. i hear a male chuckle at this but the shaking stopped. Wait male chuckle.... the days events came back to me. I whipped up in my seat without opening my eyes. my head hit something hard. the pain erupted in my head smooth. "be careful there sleeping beauty." David chuckled. I opened my eyes to see it was probably his head mine collided with. he was perfectly fine and in no pain though. I shoved at him slightly an he stepped back from the car. I jumped out mumbling about stupid vampires. "heard that" he interrupted grabbing my hand. "you were meant to." I said grumpily rubbing my head. he faked hurt putting his hand on his heart "that hurts princess." He leaned over placing a light kiss on my head where i hit it and the pain went away. David tugged on my hand pulling me into a building. it was so fast I isn't get to see what it was. stupid vampire. as soon as we walked into the building I felt cold air whip at my hair and clothes. no wonder he told me to dress warm. I looked around noticing a ticket booth and behind the plexiglass rows of ice skates. my eyes widen and I look at david. "you brought me Ice skating?" I practically squeak out. I've never been I've skating but I've always wanted to. Again the stupid vampire chuckles at me. I feel like this is becoming routine. "what sizes?" A small petite blonde girl ask coming behind the glass. I see her eye up David and I suddenly felt irritated at her. I grabbed his hand stepping forward "six for me." I hesitated before turning to David "what's your shoe size babe?" I didn't miss the glint in his eyes at babe or the frown that fell onto the girls face. He smirked at me before telling her. she came back with the shoe sizes taking the money from David. As Soon as we passed the door to enter the rink we were greeted by two changing room doors. "I'll meet you on the ice. I won't forget about the babe comment either." David said winning at me. I groaned quietly but went into the room and put on my skates. the rooms were unneeded but I guess that's the only way to enter the rink. I walked through the room and opened the next door. it opened to a bunch of seats viewing the ice. this place is like a maze. god I hate mazes I've never been good at them. I sit in a bench put on my skates and open the small gate that separates the stands and ice. "Woah there. have you ever went ice skating before?" A strange voice says. I look up to see a boy with stawberry blonde hair blue eyes and freckles. he had this boyish look about him and he was adorable. "no." I reply realizing it might be harder than it looks. ge laughed but it was high pitched and nothing like davids. why am I comparing this boy to David? "That's why I'm helping her." I hear David say. the boy turns around and I could visibly see him pale. David was a lot taller and all together bigger than the boy. "oh i didn't know. I'm sorry." the boy replied. "yeah so next time leave my girl alone." he said before the boy skated away in a rush. I raised my eyebrow at David. "your girl?" i said. "babe?" He replied. I blushed "fair enough. we must be one good looking couple if people keep trying to hit on us." I say teasingly. he rolled his eyes but grabbed both my hands gently pulling me onto the ice. I almost fell bit David caught me. "wow there princess. I know I'm a sight but no need to fall for me so quickly." my mouth dropped at his comment. the nerve of that boy. I smack his chest hard again knowing it won't harm him.  David tried to teach me to skate but  it was a total no go. as much as I tried I just fell. I still had fun though because he helped me the entire time. as long as it was with him I could resist falling. he spun me around a few times me falling and him again catching me. overall i had a real fun time and I was upset when he said we had to go. I didn't even notice how long we had been at the ice rink. we ate dinner there and walked out into the parking lot. "daaaaavid my legs feel like jelly." I complain. "don't worry it will go away in a few minutes. despite his comment he swooped me up carrying me. "this isn't nessissary." I mumble. "yeah I know but I like holding you" his comment made me want to hit him again but I knew I wasn't causing any damage to him. I was only hurting myself. David opened my door for me and slid me into his car. I closed my eyes and heard the engine turn on. for the second time that day I fell into a nice sleep. "wake up sunshine." David whispered in my ear. i opened my eyes smiling. I knew we were in my driveway but I didn't want to go... "umm well thanks for everything. I had a really fun time." I said quietly blushing knowing he would hear me. "don't thank me yet. I have one more thing for you." he pulled out the small pink wrapped present I seemed to forget completely about. "chloe I know we have huge problems to solve if we want to make us work but I need to make us work. chloe would you be my girlfriend?" David asked handing me the small present. I look into his eyes and know he's not using me. why would he? He's not like that I remind myself. "yes." I said before kissing his cheek. I grabbed the gift and ran inside my house. he probably wanted me to open it in front of him but I wanted to open it by myself. I'll defiantly thank him for it tomorrow. I went up to my room after being interrogated my my parents. My mom was pissed about me going on my first real date without telling her and her meeting the boy. she said she wanted to meet David soon and well that caused some serious problems. She let me escape though as soon as she realized how late it was. As soon as I got into my room I grabbed my diary writing all about my date in it. I mentioned David and mom and why they couldn't meet. I knew now that I mentioned David being a vampire I needed to hide my diary better. I looked around my room trying to find the perfect spot. my eyes caught my small air vent almost completely hidden in my closet. it's perfect. I pulled off the weird metal thing laying my diary inside. I put it back together and stepped away. looking at it you couldn't even see a difference. it was perfect. I smiled making my way to my bed with the gift. I sat on my bed just staring at it. I didn't know what it was jewlwery of some kind by the looks of it. I ripped the paper revealing a small purple box with small words painted on it. Three was only three words and I knew the box was made by David because of it. mine princess chloe was painted onto the box several times. why would he take his time to do this? It had to have taken him a great chunk of time. I shook it from my thoughts and lifted the lid. inside was a small necklace with the word princess in cursive. it was a beautiful necklace but still so simple. it was adorable and now it made sense on why David kept calling me a princess he must have been planing on giving me this the entire time. I laid the necklace on my night stand and closed my eyes. I was already excited to see David in the morning.
