Kathleen decides Yugi's been near the water enough today as she quickly carries him closer to the land and lets him sunbathe closer to her as she chats quietly with the other adults while the pups play in the a shallow pool of water.
Yugi laid in a tree again sunbathing quietly. Unbeknownst to him the same crimson eyes are watching curiously only narrow.
“A cat? I saved a cat? No wonder I got scratched. Cats are bad luck.... It's probably best I stay away. But he really is cute...” the owner of the eyes shakes himself before he continues watching the odd pack.
Yugi was sleeping softly before getting splashed with water. He screeches and hisses.
Seto smirks as he takes more water into his mouth and splashes Yugi again before darting away. “You're nothing but a freak and all you do is slow this pack down.” He called as he went back to play with his siblings.
Yugi shakes his wet head before frowning as his tail swishes slowly and his ears dropping. He lays back as he looks at his reflection in the water.
Soon the sun starts to set the other pups head towards the cave however Kathleen can't find Yugi. She walks over to find him still staring at his reflection from the tree branch. “Yugi sweetie it's time to come in.”
Yugi looks down at his mother and nods his head before jumping down to her. Kathleen immediately notices something's wrong and gently lift his chin with her paw. “Baby is something bothering you? You can tell Mama.”
Yugi shakes his head. “Meow…” He said, Kathleen isn't convinced however she doesn't push for answers knowing Yugi would tell her if it was really bothering him. She gently nuzzle him as they walk to the cave.
Yugi walks to the cave with his mother. Ryan looks over and smiles as he walks over to greet his wife and son. “Hey Champ I heard you said your first words today I'm so proud of you my little man.” He nuzzles Yugi and smiled proudly.
Yugi smiles and nuzzles Ryan back and playfully swats at his nose. Ryan barks a laugh. “Since the day you first saw it you've always like batting my nose.” He chuckles and playfully flips Yugi over as he tickles his belly with his snout.
Yugi purrs and shifts to try and get away. From the bushes the little wolf with the red eyes watches in disbelief. “Even the alpha of the pack plays with him. But he's a cat.. well this is a weird pack but it's a nice one I guess.”
Yugi purrs and nuzzles Ryan. “P…. papa..” Yugi purrs. Ryan's eyes widen as his tail wags happily. “Did you hear that? He said Papa!” Kathleen smiles proudly at her little one. “He's very smart dear. He may not be a wolf but he's special in his own way.”
Yugi smiles and yawns cutely before crawling onto Ryan’s fur to sleep. Ryan and Kathleen curl around their son and falls asleep.
