Alpha Cat (Completed)

Chapter 6

Slowly evening came and Yugi began to wake up. 

Next to Yugi was Mana and Joey. Mana had her head on his chest and was secretly getting the evil eye from the dark wolf. 

Joey had his head on Yugi's good shoulder. Yugi smiles at his friends before looking at the dark wolf. ‘Thank you’ He mouthed to him. 

The dark wolf simply stared at him his crimson eyes which oddly was familiar to Yugi. He shrugged and turned away.

Yugi blinks before looking at Seto who was smirking at him. Soon the elder wolves of the pack came into the room. Kathleen look like she had been crying while she and Ryan looked relieved to see Yugi wake. 

Yugi was watching Seto with a suspicious look. Seto ignored him as he pretended to look at his claws. Ryan was the first to speak. “Yugi how are you feeling? Do you feel hungry? Thirsty? Dizzy?” He asked with a worried expression.

Yugi looks at his father and smiles. “I’m fine father. I am not hungry. How is Lily?” Yugi asks as he sits up and shifts back into his cat form. 

Lily rushed into the room and bolted towards her brother, tears in her little eyes. “I was so afraid. Yugi I thought they hurt you really bad. Thankfully Mr. Wolf over there was there to help us.”

Yugi smiles and licks her cheek. “I’m fine little one. As well as you and ‘Mr. Wolf’ is fine as well.” Yugi said. 

The dark wolf coughed at the name bringing attention to himself as everyone turned to stare. “My name is not Mr. Wolf. It's Yami. Also what were you thinking? The hunter could have killed you. You need to be more careful.” He muttered the rest of his sentences after his name. 

Yugi smiles and walks slowly over to Yami and licks his cheek. “Thank you for helping my sister and I.” Yugi said. 

Yami blinked then raised an eyebrow. “Just stay out of trouble. I’m not going to be there to save your tail all the time.” Yami said as he got up to leave. 

Yugi blinks in confusion. “I’ll try Yami but trouble finds its way to me.” Yugi said, looking at Seto. 

Yami rolled his eyes as he went to leave when Isis stopped him. “I wouldn't go far if I were you. Your true mate is closer than you think.” She whispers. 

Yami stared at her like she had grown three heads. “Look lady I don't need a mate. I am a strong independent lone Alpha. I can take care of myself.” All of the wolves' ears perked up at the word Alpha.

Yugi groans softly and looks away. Only Seto shared Yugi's groan. Yami turned his sharp gaze to both of them. “You can stop your groaning I don't plan on staying. Besides a weak Alpha and Omega cat are hardly choices for a pack.” He growled as he turned to leave only to have Yugi's voice stop him.

Yugi frowns. “I apologize Yami. I didn't mean to disrespect you.” Yugi said before leaving with Seto following him. Yami sighed turns to look at Yugi. “I never got your name by the way.” He said softly, making the young cat stop in his tracks.

Yugi looks back and smiles softly. “Yugi.” He said before walking out to his tree that he sleeps on. Yami turns to leave when Ryan Kathleen and all the other wolves give him a *please stay* look. Yami groans to himself and reluctantly nods. 

“Fine but only because I don't have anywhere better to be. But I'm not sleeping in this cave. Caves make me feel cramped.” He walks outside and digs a good size burrow not far from the cave.

“That’s what Yugi said.” Mana mumbles as she goes to her den. “Speaking of Yugi he and Seto left.” Mana said. 

Yami looks up confused. “So?” Mana sighs and lifts her head as she just laid down. “To put it in simple words Seto threatened Yugi’s life earlier. And then the hunter suddenly came.” Mana said. 

Yami's eyes narrow. “Maybe I'll go look for them. It's getting dark. Plus I don't want Yugi's mother to worry any more than she already has.”

Mana smirks. “Don’t let me stop you.” She said and went to sleep. 

Yami groans to himself again. ‘how in the scat do I get myself into these situations.’ he grumbles to himself as he followed Yugi's and Seto scents.
