Alpha Cat (Completed)

Chapter 4

Outside the cave in the bushes the little black wolf curls up go to sleep to however his mind is still on the kitten and the odd pack.

Many suns and moons go by winter comes and goes Yugi was older now. More mature but still playful. Seto still hates him but Yugi’s extremely stealthy so he can hide and run from his pranks. 

More wolves joined the pack and a lot of the pups became good friends with Yugi and his cousins. One wolf pup around  the same age as Yugi in  particular a blond one with a very clumsy nature named Joey was his best friend.

Kathleen and Ryan were proud of their little prince. Soon Kathleen had two pups of her own however Yugi was still her most precious. Yugi loves his siblings and would purr to help them sleep at night. 

Lily, his little sister, would follow Yugi everywhere. She would even sunbathe with him and Seto hated it. How she would act like a horrible cat as he would put it. 

Bark was a bit more of a handful but he very protective of his older brother. He would usually chase Seto away if he tried to bother Yugi.

Yugi was around five years old but in cat years fifteen. Seth had already left the pack to start his own.

Yugi was training with his father to become the soon to be new Alpha. Yugi hates it honestly but knew he had to do it or else Seto would get the place. 

Ryan smiles as his son walks over. “Ready to begin your training again? And it's only until you can find an alpha son. I know you don't like having to do this training and that you're an Omega but I don't I want you to not be able to protect yourself.”

Yugi nods his head. “I know father. I just wish there was someone out there accepting me for me.” Yugi whispers as he swings his tail. He was still short but he was taller than a kitten. He even had human legs and arms if he desired but rather be in his cat form. 

Ryan smiles and gives his son a gentle cuff on the shoulder. “When the time is right you'll get a mate. I just wish we didn't have to put you on a time frame. But it's the way of our kind.

Yugi sighs but nods his head. “Yes I know. And if I don’t find a mate Seto takes my place. I’m sorry father but the way he acts to others I can’t let that happen.” Yugi said. 

Ryan nods as he smiles. “That’s why you're my son and that's why I'm so proud of you. I don't care if you are not a wolf. I'm happy for you. You're an Omega that has a spirit stronger than any Alpha and that's saying something.”

Yugi smiles and they begin training. 
Ryan didn't take it easy on Yugi however he wasn't too rough either. He didn't want Yugi to be too tired however he didn't want him to feel like he was taking it easy on him either as it was an insult.

Yugi mostly dodged Ryan’s attacks with his speed and agility. Ryan smirks. “It's always good to dodge however remember to take the kill shot when you can and never leave your back unguarded. The minute you let your guard down your dead.

Yugi frowns and stops his training. “But must I kill? What is the point of killing Father?” Yugi asks as he walks around him. 

Ryan smiles lightly. “It’s just a figure of speech son.. ..” Yugi shakes his head. “But it’s not, is it? I’ve seen the way. I’ve watched it, Father. Killing to survive. It’s wrong. Isn’t there another way to survive?”

Ryan sighs as he looks down. “If there was another way I would have gladly chosen it. However it's either survive on your own or die...hey!” 

Yugi quickly pounces onto his father and pins him with his sharp claws and tail. “I understand father. Maybe one day I will find that solution. I win.”

Ryan chuckles as he looks proudly at Yugi. “Congratulations Son. You definitely have proved yourself worth. Sadly however I'm not the one you have to fight.” 

Yugi blinks in confusion. “And who will I have to fight?”

Seto cleared his throat. “That'd be me twinkle paws. Since he's your father it doesn't count.”

Yugi frowns and jumps off his father. Ryan frowns and glares at Seto. “That's quite enough….” Seto then smirks at Ryan. “And what are you going to do about it? I'm not a puppy anymore and I can easily take you down.” Ryan frowns and looks down as Seto taunts him.

Yugi jumps in front of his father and Seto. “That is enough Seto. He is still your alpha and you must obey him.” Yugi said. Seto glares and growls only to have Ryan snarl as Seto quickly goes into a submissive pose. “I said that's enough. Go back to your mother Seto and stop being a pest.” 

Ryan's tone shocks Yugi. He looks up at his father then down at his paws. 

Seto walks away then turns back with a glare. “I will be the next Alpha even if it means getting rid of the competition.” He huffs as he runs off.

Yugi looks up at Seto with his eyes wide in shock. Ryan sighs and shakes his head. “Never mind him, let's go see what your mother is doing. She probably needs help with your brother and sister.” 

Ryan said only to have Yugi cut him off. “I think I’ll head to the stream father.” Yugi said softly as he looked at his paws. Ryan understands and gives Yugi a gentle cuff on his shoulder as he slowly began to walk towards the cave slightly limping.

Yugi sighs before walking to the stream near the packs’ home. He lays down on his rock and shivered at the winter cold. 

It was late November and his birthday was coming soon. He heard a light woof as a small female that looked very much like his mother scampered up to curl next to him. 

“Hey big brother. Daddy said that you won your training battle against him. Honestly I hope you win instead of that mean stinky wolf.”

Yugi smiles at his sister. “Yes little one I did win, however I am no match for Seto.” Yugi said, looking down at his reflection. “For I am a prey while he is a predator.” 

Lily shook her head. “I believe you can beat that meanie. Also there's another way you can be the ruler of the pack. Just find an alpha.” She said as her little ears perked up in a very similar manner to how Yugi's did.

Yugi sighs. “I wish it was easy as said Lily however I am not a wolf. I am just the runt.” Yugi said before his own ears perked up. 

Yugi looks around slightly trying to catch the sound. Lily looks around nervously as she hears it too. “What's that sound big brother I'm scared.” She whimpers as her little tail tucks under her legs.

“I don’t know Lily.” Yugi whispers as he moves protectively above Lily. Suddenly the sound of footprints is heard. And they don't sound like animal footprints. 

“Lily hide.” Yugi whispers. “Go to father.” Yugi said before walking closer to the footsteps. 

Lily is frozen in terror unable to move. 
“Lily.” Yugi whispers and nips at her fur before picking her up with his mouth. “Let’s get.” He mumbled and hopped onto a tree branch.
