Chapter 16: back to the hidden leaf

Natsuki POV

We we're going home today, Mr. Tazuna finished the bridge and the land of waves was back to normal

I was in the bathroom with Sakura, we were finally taking off my bandages, it was my first time taking them off, these are the bandages for the first fight with Zabuza when he kinda threw me around like a rag doll and all that

So Sakura, Nii-Chan and I were in the bathroom, I was there because they were on me and it was my injury, Nii-Chan was there for support and to see how bad Zabuza got me and Sakura was there because she was the only other one who any kind of medical ninjutsu in case the scissors she's using to cut off the bandages reopens an injury and Naruto was sitting outside the door waiting because Nii-Chan said he couldn't come in because I'm not wearing a shirt

"alright are you ready Natsuki-san"

Sakura asked as she held the scissors to the bandages

"I'm ready just do it"

I said and she started cutting away at the layers of cotton and gauze until it all fell to the floor, I had my eyes closed not wanting to see right away

I heard Nii-Chan gasp and I opened my eye to see multiple scars across my abdomen, I was shocked dnd upset that it scarred but there was much I could do

"alright it's fine just do my eye"

I said to Sakura and she walked closer to cut the bandage off my eye, when it came off there was a scar that went from above my eyebrow to my jaw

"alright now open your eyes"

said pinky and I obeyed opening my eye, I could still see everything which means I could see there shocked faces

"what's the matter"

"your eye, it's, it's white"

Sakura replied and I ran to the mirror in the bathroom and it was indeed white, I closed my still black eye and I could still see so at least it wasn't blind

"well I can still see out of it at least"

I said and Nii-Chan sighed in relief

"well we're leaving soon so go to your room and put on some clothes"

said Nii-Chan opening the door letting Naruto run in and see my white eye and scars

"oh my god your eye, your face, your stomach, are you alright"

he asked and Nii-Chan jumped in front of me and started telling Naruto to back off and I snuck away to my room to pack up my things and put on some clothes.

We were at the bridge ready to go back home and all of the village people were here to say goodbye

Naruto and Inari were crying like a bunch of babies and talking about visiting, honestly I said I would but I won't, I nearly died here twice, and that's not for me so no thank you

I just want to get home and eat some instant ramen and go to bed

"goodbye Inari"

I said slightly smiling at how sad he is that we're leaving

"b-b-bye N-Natsuki-nee"

he said and ran over to hug my leg

"you have to let go, we have to leave"

"okay, b-bye Natsuki-nee"

he said and walked back over to his mom, we said the rest of our goodbyes and left

the entire time Naruto was talking about ramen after I brought up going to ichiraku's when we got back.

The next morning we had even more D rank missions to complete like weed picking

We all did fine except Naruto who picked the weeds and plants and flowers, then we had cleaning the lake with a waterfall and the dobe almost got himself killed by falling down the waterfall so Nii-Chan and I had to catch him, then we had to walk some dogs and Naruto chose the biggest one that he couldn't control and it pulled him into a minefield, the dog walked out fine but Naruto had more than a few mines blow up on him

"your guy's team work is falling apart"

sensei sighed on the way back

"hey don't blame us it's the stupid blonds fault"

I said pointing at said blond and he started talking about how it's Sasuke's fault because he's so stuck up and thinks he's better than everyone and things like that

but now it was training time and I decided to walk with Naruto because we were both going to train at the public training grounds and Nii-Chan wanted to go train by himself.
