Chapter 44: The three tails

Natsuki POV

I was playing with fire when I heard the voice hated so

Kabuto

I walked out and saw him standing by the door, when he saw me he waved and greeted me which I returned with an eye roll

After he and guren had a little talk kabuto took all of us to some lake with a dock and by the dock was a small boat

"Sorry, the rest of you will have to stay here, keep an eye out for those troublesome leaf ninja, the last thing we want are distractions"

He said to the rest of the team and then he, guren, yukimaru and I all floated off

Obviously as the only experienced water and fire user I was tasked with moving the boat around by boiling the water behind us to make it move because science

"Kabuto I'm scared, the last time I took that medicine it made my head really hurt"

Said yukimaru putting his hand in the lake to feel the warm water

"Don't worry, if anything happens Natsuki is also a medical ninja, she'll take care of you"

Kabuto replied and yukimaru turned to me and I just nodded akwardly

Once we got to about the middle of the lake I was told to stop, so we were just sitting there in silence until kabuto said

"Alright, Yukimaru, stand up"

And the young boy obeyed rising to his feet

Kabuto reached into the sleeve of his cloak and pulled out a head piece handing it to yukimaru

The boy put it on his head and waited as kabuto pulled out a small thing of pills and handed yukimaru some then told him about some changes to the medication

He looked at guren then at me then back at guren and smiled before eating the fist full of small pearls

"You're turn guren"

Kabuto said after standing up and guren made multiple crystal columns forming the shape of a hexagon around us

The waves they caused almost knocked us over so I used some ninjutsu to hold the water as steady as possible

Yukimaru started to breath heavy and I watched as moments later he doubled over and put his hands on his throat as chakra came off him causing his hair flew as his chakra created a breeze

He stood up and screamed at the top of his lungs and a very large amount of chakra came out doubling the amount

All the chakra started irritating the water and the boat began to rock and large ripples in the water spread from out of the boat and the crystals began to glow

Large bubbles started forming in front of the boat making it seem like something underneath was breathing

Around where the bubbles are it started glowing with chakra and guren warned

"Careful now, it's coming"

"What is"

I asked uninformed about why we are out here and before I got a reply a massive tsunami size slash came from where the glowing bubbles were

"PERFECT, ITS ALMOST HERE"

Yelled kabuto and I screamed at him

"WHAT IS!?!"

And guren replied

"A tailed beast"

And I stopped to look at her and then at the splash to see the massive wave fall back into the lake creating a heavy mist that was difficult to see through, but not impossible
