The next morning, Nancy woke up in her own bedroom, the pink walls feeling so different from Robin's pale blue ones.

Robin.

She wasn't with Robin. She was, but now she is not.

An empty feeling widened in her heart, and she scrambled out of bed when she heard the door open.

It was her Mom.

And it was obvious that she knew everything, just by the was that she was looking at her. Pity and remorse were written all over her body, but Nancy didn't trust her.

The man who had done unspeakable acts had misused her trust by coming across as a man who simply wanted to be friendly.

* Flashback Starts *

"Love you, Mom," Nancy cried from the front door.

"Love you, sweetie," Karen responded. "Have a nice night!"

Nancy stepped outside, and took a deep breath when she felt the cool air against her skin.

She stood like that, with her eyes closed, until a voice from across the street rang out in the air.

"Hey!" The person called.

Nancy squinted to see that it was the man who lived in the small house across the street.

She instantly felt a pang of guilt as she realised she didn't remember his name, even though he had lived there since Nancy was only a child.

Feeling friendly, she walked towards him, a smile on her face.

"You look nice, the man said, looking her up and down. "What's the occasion?"

The tone in the man's voice gave Nancy goosebumps. Her instinct was screaming at her to leave, so she listened, giving some lame excuse to the man who had some look in his eye that reminded Nancy of hunger.

She turned around, but suddenly felt a hand placed on the small of her back.

She immediately stiffened, but when the hands started to move downwards, she made a run for it.

She didn't get very far before a rough hand grabbed her chest, and the other wrapped around her mouth.

He dragged her backwards, until he reached a small shed, which he proceeded to unlock, and pull her into.

Still holding her tightly so Nancy couldn't run away, or yell, or signal for help, he bent over and whispered in her ear.

"You can't go around teasing me like that,"

Nancy threw up in her mouth.

He whispered one more thing.

"I am going to undress. You will be obedient, and will not shout. Or it will hurt a lot more."

He let go of Nancy, who stood paralysed on the spot. The man took off his shirt, and Nancy whimpered. But when he took off the rest, she couldn't help herself, and let out a desperate scream.

She was slammed into the wall, and the gruff voice insisted she was going to regret doing that.

She heard a car door slam, and realised that meant Steve and Robin were here.

"Robin! St-," Nancy was cut short by the man pressing his lips against hers.

"You can't tell me I didn't warn you, Nancy." The man said. "Now I must punish you.

The man, with his lips still firmly pressed against hers, grabbed the top of Nancy's dress by the straps, and ripped them off in one try.

The scream that Nancy let out was too loud to be silenced by the man's mouth, so he stopped kissing her to give her a few hits all over her body that would surely bruise.

Then, there was an awful pain, somewhere down there, and Nancy knew instantly what it was. She let out another cry, bu the man cut her off halfway with another whisper.

"I just want to make you feel good, Nancy."

But before he could do anything more, a crash sounded, and the door fell to the ground.

Robin was the only thing she saw.

In all of her desperation, she could think clearly enough to know somehow that she could trust her. But anyone else, she wasn't sure.

* Flashback Ends *

Nancy backed against a wall, and crumpled to her knees when she heard her mom approach her.

When Karen came close to touching her shoulder, in a way that was supposed to be comforting, all Nancy could think of was him, touching her, kissing her, inside her-

So she screamed.

She screamed at her mother to leave, that she was scared, that she kept going down, down, down, that she couldn't breathe, that she didn't want to, she disn't know what to do, only she wanted to see one person. Only one person.
