Chapter 7

"The explosion happened at seven in the evening, we also felt a strange earthquake. After that, we saw a huge smoke and fire."

Akiro wrote in a notepad what the town resident at the bottom of Mount Himitsu answered. Frost is currently questioning people who witnessed the incident.

"Sudden explosions, earthquakes, and fire spreading. What do you think, Akiro?" Frost asked. 

"I don't think it's just a bomb." Frost nodded. "There is also no trace or proof that the source of the explosion here in the forest is the bomb."

"That's what I am thinking too." they looked at the people walking calmly.

 "Let's go," Frost said.

They started to climb the mountain. Akiro watches everything while climbing up, while Frost just walks seriously. 

"The information we gathered was just the same as what the police got. It was seven o'clock in the evening when the explosion, fire spread, and a strange earthquake happened. The rescuers arrived at about eight o'clock in the evening." Akiro bit his pen. "The agency is not far from this mountain, is it? Didn't you hear the explosion?"

"Unfortunately, no. Only those at the bottom of the mountain could hear. Someone said the sound of the blast could be heard up to three miles away."

"Strange."

"What's strange?"

"I just wondered why you didn't hear the explosion last month. And when the police arrived at the incident, there was only a minor fire. " Frost nodded. "Based on the report, the rescuers arrived first before the cops."

"I still can't stop thinking about it, wait... When rescuers arrived at the incident, what did they see first?"

"During the investigation and reports, no one was hurt and the people were calm. When witnesses were asked about what happened, they answered normally. They weren't panicking at all., they're unharmed and calm"

"Unharmed and calm?"

"Are you thinking that they caused this incident?"

"Not at all, I was thinking about Dazed-san" Frost frowned. "What about him?"

"Any person that will hear his words when his ability is activated will automatically obey him. If Dazed-san orders someone to forget about something, they will forget about it." Frost gets what Akiro's pointing out.

"So you're saying that someone's controlling the witnesses?"

"I'm not quite sure, I just thought about it." Frost nodded. 

I see, he has a point. After all, Dazed-san isn't the only person who has the ability to control somebody's mind. And ability users are scattered in this city so it's not impossible.
