Chapter 44

"I will kill you all, unchain Blaze"

Kaorujima played deaf and even tightened the chain around Blaze's collar, making Blaze close his eyes. Because of that, the ambiance became even hotter and flaming. Elizabeth and Flows started to suffocate but they can't leave their men like this.

Akiro remembered what Frost told him before, "I also don't like Blaze on the brink of death, his ability reacts to his condition, in case Blaze is about to die, the fire coming from his body will spread all over the place where he is. We're the same, so we can't die, because we're not the only ones who will die ... we'll die with those around us,"

'Frost will die if Blaze won't stop the fire, fire is his weakness...' 

Akiro looked at Flows and Elizabeth, "Leave... leave... the two of you"

Flows and Elizabeth shook their head, "Are you dumb?!" Akiro just glanced at them, he looked at them with flames in the whole place, lighting the darkness of the vast place.

"The one that stays in somewhere they know they'll die was even dumber," he stated. 

Flows held Elizabeth's hands, "We'll get in his way," Elizabeth bit her lower lip, she couldn't believe she would really leave Akiro, Blaze, and Frost in their enemies' hands.  

Flows and Elizabeth wasted no time, they immediately ran out of the underground. They could no longer stand the heat,  it was as if they were burning in hell.

After Akiro lost sight of Elizabeth and Flows, he automatically glared at Kaorujima who was also staring at him using his emotionless crimson eyes, "Bastard..." 

Akiro swung his hands with Clauis and tried to break Kaorujima's chain, as soon as Kaorujima's controlled chains and Clauis met, an explosion and lightning occurred.

'Even Clauis can't break something he can manipulate?!'

Akiro gave up and used his light rope instead to strangle Kaorujima, Frost will die in this heat, and Akiro doesn't know what to do to make Kaorujima unchain Blaze. He just strangled Kaorujima until he choked. 

"Things I manipulate had a division of my soul, they won't... break as I won't permit it.

Out of the blue, Akiro remembered what Seijoh told him, "Instead of thinking 'What should I do' in a frustrating situation, try to think 'What would my ideal self do?'"

'What... would my ideal self do in this kind of situation? Strong, clever, optimistic, and professional me?' 

Akiro glanced at Frost who was catching his breath while lying on the ground, Blaze who had closed eyes and unconscious mind, and Euri who was carrying unconscious Menji due to blood loss.

Akiro held tight to Clauis and let go of Kaorujima, "Clauis don't need permission to break something that pissed him off," Light Rope faded and Akiro lost in Kaorujima's sight.
