chapter 3

lapis Pov

it had been a couple of years since I had last seen my dad, I had however noticed both him and lady Hestia lurking near the house. I was now 4 and mum had already married smelly Gabe.

I could hear a small argument in the living room from up in my bedroom when suddenly smelly Gabe yelled:" FINE TAKE THE DAMMED BRAT ON A VACATION I DONT GIVE A DAM, BUT YOU'RE NOT TOUCHING MY CAR. TAKE A BUS OR WHATEVER,

after that, I heard light footsteps coming up the stairs. knowing it was my mom I opened the door and poked my head through, she made me go back inside and stepped inside with me.

she started packing a small suitcase with my clothes while saying:" we're going to go on a little vacation to Montauk dear, to a little cabin owned by your grandpa near a beach ok". I said ok knowing what this place was, the place mum met dad.

the next day when our bags were packed and bus tickets were bought we went to the bus stop and took said bus down to Montauk.

four hours later we had finally arrived there and walk about 10 minutes until we arrived at the cabin, it was pretty roomy but needed to be cleaned.

so we set to work, I cleaned the room id be using while mum cleaned the rest. when we were done we changed into some swimwear took a few towels and set out to the beach.

when we got there and found a nice place for us to settle down I asked my mum if I could go play in the water, she said yes but that I could only go in as far as my waist

I was playing for a couple minutes of me simply playing in the water a girl a few years older than me with black hair and grey eyes came up to me and asked me what I was doing. at first glance most people would wright this girl of as an average child, but I knew better as this was Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus and my cousin.

I responded to her with:" hello there, I'm just playing with the water".

Thalia:" where is your mom"

me:" my mum is over there on the shore"

Thalia:" oh, ok"

me:" well, do you maybe want to play with me

Thalia looked at me shocked for a second before smiling at me and saying she would and asked me for my name, I told her my name and then she told me hers

we were playing for a couple of hours and had become great friends already, our parents had taken notice of our friendship and were happily chatting away together.

but it had gotten dark quickly so we had to retreat to our cabin, but before we left I had forced Thalia to pinky promise that we would play tomorrow.
