Chapter 16 (LAST PART OF BOOK 1)

Lapis POV

it had been a few weeks since our quest came to a close and the end of summer was already nearing, I knew I was going to head back home to Mom as I had no reason not to go back.

I had already packed my bags and loaded them into the van and was now going around saying my goodbyes to the friends I had made over the past few months.

a few of the campers who were going to stay as well as Chiron had come to wave us off.

Luke had given me my first Bead which had a trident on it, however instead of being a dark blue colour like in the books this one was coloured pink, Luke told me that they had chosen to make it pink to symbolize me as Poseidon's first daughter.

just then Argus called everyone going home to get on the bus as we would be leaving in 2 minutes, I said goodbye to Luke and crawled my way into the bus.

as we started taking off the others started trying to pull the attention of specific people on the bus and waving at them, some of the younger campers even started chasing the bus.

it took o few hours but I eventually made it back home only to find Triton waiting on me in an alley near my apartment complex, he walked up to me and I asked him why he came here.

Triton:" What? can't I come to see my little sister or something?

me:" Don't start with that bull triton, you don't have the time for that, especially with all that has to be fixed with all those typhoons and shockwaves Dad caused with his anger.

Triton:" Who is that Luke boy?

me:" he's a 19-year-old son of Hermes, Camp counselor of cabin 11.

Triton:" Interesting...

me:" Please don't do something stupid like attack him.

Triton:" Hmmm..., anyway Dad wanted me to give you this, something about giving your mom a weapon to protect you and herself against an aggressive overwait seal. 

Triton handed over a small box which was carefully packaged to make sure whatever was in there would not be damaged, I giggled at the comment already knowing what he meant.

I told Triton I would give it to Mom like Dad said to do. before triton left he hugged me.

He left and I went inside the apartment complex.

I went up the elevator and to our apartment, as soon as I opened the door though I was met with him hitting my mom square in the face.

I couldn't take it anymore and rushed him, him being overweight, old and completely ungroomed and me being trained in Greek fighting techniques, it was pretty easy to see which one of us won that one. (She didn't kill him but rather pushed him over)

He landed with his head hitting the ground and I told Mom to call the police, as we didn't need this scumbag anymore

She called them and smelly Gabe with both of my and mum's testimony, as well as an investigation into our apartment and the ones around us he ended up arrested for multiple counts of domestic violence, domestic abuse, child abuse, child neglect, as well as child endangerment (due to the apartments living condition) sexual abuse and sexual abuse of a minor (due to the holes in the walls).

Mom also filed for divorce and the court forced him to sign the papers which means he officially has no say over anything about us.

He was also forced to give Mom a lot of his stuff and pay for the fixing of the walls, unfortunately, he only had money and his car to his name, fortunately, he had 30k we got the car which after being cleaned was valued at 6000 and also received 12000 dollars.

This helped Mom a lot as now she had a way to get to work faster and a small fund to lean on if something went wrong.
