The room fell silent as Y/N finished telling the 4 in the room what had happened. She took a deep breath and looked around the room.
She watched their expressions change multiple times. Worry, anger, concern for the girl, relief since she's safe. They all looked a little speechless to say the least.
"This can't be happening.." Laurance utters in disbelief.
"I'm dead serious, Laurance."
"We need to get to Meteli now, as soon as possible!" Aphmau was the most worried, while she did harbor some worry for Y/N, it was mostly for her sons and Zoey. Y/N was okay with that.
"If Cadenza finds them in a sedated state, she won't let them get far." Laurance points out to the worried mother.
"Laurance, she's heading for the bandit camps around Meteli. We can only hope she actually goes through Meteli." Y/n sighs, bringing her hood down to let her ears breathe.
Travis rolls his eyes, "She's an idiot for kidnapping a lord." Y/N nods silently in agreement.
"We need to find them.."
"We need to warn the others. Also.. where's Vylad and Aaron?" Y/N question not seeing either of the two mysterious people of the group.
"I wouldn't worry about Aaron.. he probably needs to be alone.." They all look at Aphmau, with puzzled expressions, "Uh, don't worry about it,"
"Well take Travis' ship to safety then."
"Impossible. My ship has been commandeered." He then goes on to explain that no one can leave by boat. Which is great, even though they all literally came by boat.
"Alright, scratch that, we'll just go on foot to Meteli-“
"I'll go look for Vylad." A very sudden request from Aphmau but one no one questioned. She left in a hurry and they all got their stuff together. Y/N quickly ruffled her hair and looked through her backpack.
She still had the target book…
The worn book stayed in her bag as she looked for her clothes. "Ophelia."
She looks up to see Laurance, "Yeah?"
"Your outfit, I didn't get the chance to mention it." He hesitated before mumbling, "You look really nice.. it suits you." The girl couldn't help but snicker at his nervous and quiet compliment. She found it cute, but she was flustered as well.
"Oh, thanks, but I always look good so it's a given." He nods, agreeing with her.
Instead of changing before they left, she decided to stay in the clothes, after all, they'll keep her warm.
Laurance, Katelyn, and Travis went over some different possible routes but all of them came back to one place. The Sacred Forest. She explained to them that a lot of people have gone missing in that forest.
"It's our only option, Ophelia.." Travis says, grabbing the rest of his stuff.
Y/N reluctantly agreed to go with them, even if she didn't want to, Laurance probably wouldn't want to leave her there.
They all made their way to the edge of the forest, Aphmau coming with Vylad.
They all glanced at each other, hesitant to enter the Sacred Forest. Y/N only sighed and walked in. "Ophelia wait!" It was too late, they had to quickly follow her in before she got lost on her own.
They had stopped for a little while, Aphmau found Aaron, the others were trying to read the map.
Y/N sat by herself, eating bread, she didn't even notice how hungry she was until she started eating it. After Aaron talked to Aphmau, they came over, asking them to follow Aaron since he knows a safe place in the forest.
