N/N - nickname

They had been walking for about an hour and Y/N was already getting tired of Chad.

"So if I broke that magical orb of yours, would I become a cat person or would the essence go back to you?"

"I'm sure it would go back to me.."

Chad slowly reaches for her backpack which had the F/C orb in it, "Don't even think about it," Y/N calmly says, Chad pulling his hand back.

Chad doesn't stay silent for long though, asking her multiple questions, Y/N had learned to give him short answers.

A while later, they finally saw light breaking through the trees, they were at the edge of the forest. And they were at Meteli. Y/N couldn't help the huge smile that appeared on her face as she ran out into the sunlight.

She immediately regretted it, the sun proving to be a little too bright for her. Groaning, she puts a hand over her eyes so they could adjust to the sudden light.

Laurance chuckles and they all go into town, meeting up with a certain orange haired woman.

Y/N wanders off, into town to see what they offer there. She walked right into a store where there were handmade jewelry on display. The beautiful stones gleam and Y/N looks at them in awe. "What brings you here young one?"

She hesitates before asking, "Have you seen a cat girl with light purple hair around here?"

"I'm sorry sweetheart, I haven't.."

"It's alright! Thanks," she was about to walk out when she saw these beautiful bamboo rings. Y/N knew that's what they were because she used to make them when she was little. However, there were two bamboo rings, one green and one F/C.

"Oh, did you see something you like dear?" The older lady hobbles over to the direction Y/N was looking.

"Ah.. I know which ones you're looking at." She grabs the exact one and brings it up to show her. Y/N steps closer, "How much is it..?"

The lady tells her the price and Y/N smiles, giving her the due amount. The woman puts them into a small box which Y/N puts in her satchel that's still inside the backpack. Stepping back out of the shop, Y/N starts looking around for anything that can lead her to Levin, Zoey, and Malachi.

She had asked multiple people but not one of them saw Michi. And she had looked all around town. It took so long that the sun was starting to go down. Cadenza allowed everyone to stay at her place, but Y/N was wide awake. She couldn't sleep, but the good news is that aphmau came back with the three that were missing. Michi also returned, as a prisoner.

Y/N breathes in the cool air as she leans on the fence in front of the wheat field. Chad had left to who knows where and she had assumed everyone else was at Cadenza's.

The girl was able to give a lot of things some thought, since the night was silent. If they were to ever find out about her past, she had always thought about the bad things. What about all the good things?

They could take her side, tell her she was right to kill him. That doesn't seem likely.

But would there ever be a day where she could leave that all behind, she could run away at any time. But she wouldn't, these people understood Ophelia and she was fine with that.

For now.

"Y/N...?"

Her head was down, she had no idea who this could be, she started shaking, not wanting to lift up her head.

"Oh- I'm sorry, I must've mistaken you for someone else." She could hear the wheat crunching under the person's soles as they came closer.

Once they walked past her, she lifted up her head and turned around. All she saw was curly black hair but she knew that lanky form. That was Elias, the farm boy that had a crush on her when they were kids. It was remarkable to her that he remembered what she looked like and that she remembered him.
