Laurance was supposed to be making a house from scratch with Travis. He couldn't bring himself to do it. Of course, there's the fact that he's just plain bad at building, but he couldn't stop thinking of Y/N.
Her sad E/C eyes, her defeated demeanor, the way she said goodbye. It was so easy for her to leave him. All he was thinking was that maybe if he had told her how he felt, she wouldn't have left. But that was selfish of him to think.
You can't save someone that doesn't want to be saved.
So there he sat on the beach, his shirt now back on and he's not trying to build anymore. He was a bit tired but that didn't stop him from feeling the power of the portal that had been opened by Lucinda.
He hums, walking around to look for it, finding it under a purple tree. He goes through quickly, not feeling any after effects. The portal let him out in front of Lucinda's old house, she must've been in there.
Deciding not to bother anyone, he went straight to go get Y/N's journal.
The neat house looked as it did before, the door still cracked slightly open, Kitty sitting on the top step in front of the door.
He gave the cat a quick but gentle pat on the head as it purred loudly. Going inside the empty house, he grabs the book, grabbing a piece of paper and pencil.
Aphmau, I'm sorry to leave in a hurry, but there's something I need to deal with at the moment. Please don't hesitate to move on with the construction of the houses, even though I clearly wasn't much of a help. I'll be back within two days, don't worry.

He nodded and stuck the paper onto the side of the portal so that Aphmau would see it, “Time to go to Meteli.”
The journey to meteli was far but he made it within the day. He didn’t have enough time to go say hi to Cadenza, going straight to the wheat field. The wheat field where Y/N had met this Elias person. He went up to the first person he saw, “Excuse me,” The young man turned around, he put on a bright dimpled smile, “What can I help you with?”
“I’m looking for someone named Elias.” The boy puts down the crate he was carrying and sticks out his hand, well, no need to go looking anymore, I’m Elias,”
Laurance shakes his hand quickly, “I’m sorry to bother you but I need to talk to you about Y/N.”
Elias’ face falls, thinking the worst for Y/N, Laurance brings him to the side, hopefully out of earshot. “What happened…?” Asking that question had scared Elias, he never thought he would be getting news about Y/N. “I fear that Y/N might be in danger..”
“Do you know where she is..?”
That part was a bit tricky for Laurance, he had no idea what to say since he had never figured out where she was. “I have reason to believe she’s in the place she ran away from..”
Elias covers his mouth that went agape from shock, “Pakari?!”
Laurance only nods, “I need you to take me there Elias, I need to save her..”
“Shouldn’t I go? By myself?”
“No, I doubt you know how to fight,” Laurance scoffed, unintentionally offending the farm boy. “You’re right, but the trip is at least two days, so get your affairs in check and meet me at the dock.” Laurance didn’t have any affairs so he walked around town for a bit, before going to the boat to wait for elias.
Once Elias was done, they set off on the relatively small boat. Even though they were stuck with each other for the whole two days it took them to get there, they didn’t want to be talking to each other, that’s for sure.
