Y/N didn’t spend time planning and figuring things out like Aphmau and her friends. They were still trying to adjust to the many changes that coming back had shown them.

Like the fact that a lot of people had kids and there was a “new” girl in town. (well she had been a resident there for more than two years but sure, new)

She was going about her day as usual, right now she was sitting on the edge of the cliff next to Lady Irene. Not a lot of people usually went up there, but of course, there was Emmalyn. The blonde haired girl was usually too busy examining the statue while Y/N wrote stuff down in her book.

So I haven’t really written in here since the day Lady Aphmau came back to Phoenix Drop. She has had a clear impact on the town, and since she had a lot of followers, I’m sure that people will come back eventually and we’ll be able to restore this town to its former glory. All in all, Aphmau’s friends seem really nice, except for the mystery guy. He doesn’t like talking to me and I’ve only really ever seen him talk to Lady Aphmau-

She quickly stopped writing as she heard someone approaching behind her. Shoving her book into her satchel, she stood up and turned around ready to leave only to come face to face with Laurance.

“hEllo“ That didn’t sound right. She cleared her throat, “Hi there Laurance.”

“Hey there Ophelia. Aphmau and I are going out of town along with a few others. And Kawaii~Chan told me that you barely leave the town? So would you like to come with us?”

Her once bored looking expression turned into a confused one. “You want me to come with you?”

He nods, “You don’t seem like you get out of town much. I mean everyone else has a reason. Most of these people have kids. You don’t.”

“Just because I don’t have kids does not mean that I’m not busy.” She crosses her arms over her chest and scoffs in disbelief.

He chuckles, “So you mean you’ve been busy.. doing the same things every day?”

She walks down the steps, “Exactly my point,”

Laurance follows her and just a couple steps from the bottom, he goes on the step in front of her and stops her.

“Look, we could really use an extra pair of hands and you could get to know us better.”

For her, that was a good sounding offer since she hasn’t been out of town since she started living there. Although getting on a boat with people she barely knows sounds awkward, she takes him up on the offer.

“Alright, but I want to take my bow, if that’s all right.”

“That works for me little lady.”

“Before this conversation goes any further, I am not a ‘little lady,’ I’m a grown woman.”

He stands next to her, on the same steps she’s on. “You seem pretty ‘little’ to me.”

She just rolls her eyes and walks away, “Hey, wait up!”

Y/N had already said her goodbyes and was on the boat before everyone else was. She was sitting down on one of the seats, leaning over to look at the flowing water. It was just her, Aphmau, Laurance, and Katelyn going.

Y/N picked at a loose thread on her pants as she watched Aphmau say her goodbyes to her sons.

After she was done, she went over to the steering wheel and the other two sat on the seats in front of her.

“Oh, hey Ophelia. I didn’t know you were coming,” Y/N just shrugs, smirking playfully at Laurance.

“Laurance practically begged me to join.”
