XXII. The Arrival

Chapter 22, The Arrival

~ Natalie James's POV ~

Today's the day!
Today's the day where the twins come!

I couldn't sleep all night, I was too excited for this day.
I got up and took a shower, I washed my hair and did my skin care routine.
I was singing along to Taylor Swift's 22.

"You don't know about me! But I bet you'd want to!"

I sang into my brush as I got out the bathroom and went straight to my closet.
I searched and searched until I got the perfect outfit.

I grabbed a white shirt with blue sleeves, ripped jeans and my blue converse.
I went to my vanity and did my hair, I decided a simple ponytail.

I didn't do make up because natural face is the best face and it takes less time to get unready.
I went downstairs and began to make breakfast, I was happy with the names Javon and I chose.

I made scrambled eggs, toast, pancakes, bacon and waffles.
I made coffee and grabbed two pitchers, I filled them with apple juice because orange juice tastes like feet.
I said what I said, go argue with the wall.

"Good morning NJ."

I looked up and saw Dani, I hugged her and we both grabbed our plates and began to eat.
Discussing the plan of arrival, Ainsley and I would stay home and fix it up, baby proofing everything.

Garrett and Dani would go to the Waltons and have them come over, it took a lot of convincing for them to not get the twins anything.
After speaking, Ainsley and Garrett walked downstairs happily.

"Good morning, I'm excited."

Garrett said as he sat beside me and Ainsley sat next to Dani, we continued to eat.
Mom came downstairs excited, she was ready and ate breakfast.

Soon it was go time and everyone was on their separate mission, I couldn't stop being happy.
I was baby proofing a lot when I noticed a note, it was on the table.

I was nosey and had decided to open it, I would've never guessed it.

We haven't spoken in quite awhile, I'd have to say my favorite boxer is Mohammad Ali.
Lavender is quite soothing, I enjoy looking at it.
I hope you send soon, I'm starting to miss you.

I smiled at the note and put it in my pocket, I would respond later on tonight.
After a simple hour, I watched as the Waltons filled our house.

Jaden, Javon and Garrett sat on the couch, talking about what the boy twin is going to do.
Jayla, Dani and I were speaking about how we will have so much fun with the girl twin whilst Ainsley was playing with Daelo.

Soon time was up and we noticed mom's car pull up, my heart leaped out of my chest when she grabbed two car seats.
I opened the door and watched as she walked in with two little angels.

We all said our hellos and soon, I was on the couch.
Mom held onto the girl twin and Jessica held the boy twin.

"So, what's their names NJ?"

Garrett asked softly, not wanting to disrupt the sleep of the two babies.
I looked at Javon, he smiled and nodded slightly.

I gulped and took a deep breath, these names took us years to come up with.
I hope they don't hate them.

"For the girl, Mila Scarlett Arthur and for the boy Milo Spencer Arthur."

I closed my eyes and braced myself for people to disagree with the names but when I opened them, everyone was smiling.

"Hello Milo, Hello Mila."

My mom cooed, I smiled and couldn't stop myself from crying.
Dani, Jayla and Ainsley hugged me.

Everyone spent time with the babies, I couldn't contain myself.
They were so cute, I cooed at them and took a photo.
