This chapter is dedicated to a friend of mine who is no longer with us, and used to love my writing, I'm doing this for her.

Giyuu walked around his estate. He couldn't do it anymore. He tried for so long, he promised nii-san, but he wasn't needed, he was the weakest link.
He made his way to his room and opened a drawer and pulled out a bottle of pills. His hands shook, in so much pain, holding even this made his arms hurt.
He ate all his favorite foods with nii-san and did things he liked. He sighs to himself and looks at the bottle of pills he found in the butterfly estate, he rolled it around in his hands. He took the cap off, and closed his eyes.
He remembered the look on nii-san's face when he was stuffing his face with food, no he couldn't stomach it all, he felt like he wanted to throw up, but he held it down. He thought it would be his last meal, he might as well eat all he wants.
"Calm down ototo-san, you'll choke"
On cue he coughs a bit.
"See I told you, slow down" she said patting his back.
He smiled as he rememberd how worried she was for him in that moment.
He opened the bottle and poured the pills all in his mouth, then picks up his cup filled with water, he downs it swallowing all of what was in his mouth. He laid down and closed his eyes.
He opened them again everything was patchy. Black spots in his vision. He everything was going in slow motion, he couldn't hear anything. His body didn't move. Again his eyes closed. Then everything stopped.
"Ototo-san! I'm here to check up on you" Thana called out.
"Ototo-san?"
It was quiet, too quiet. She walked around the estate. Once at Giyuu's room her heart sank. She rushed to his side, almost tripping on the empty bottle of pills.
She felt for his pulse, it was still there not strong thought. She picked him up rushing him to the butterfly estate.
Shinobu almost cried at his condition but didn't dare to in front of the music pillar.
As time passed. Thana worried more and more.
"He will be fine Thana-san, he will be out for a while" shinobu said handing her Giyuu's haori.
A few weeks passed and Giyuu woke up. Tanjiro stood up.
"Giyuu! Oh god, you're alright! What happened?"
Giyuu stayed silent for a moment and a single tear rolled down his cheak and he turned his head away from him.
"I overdosed"
Tanjiro hands shook. He frowned and made Giyuu look at him. He kissed his lips softly then pulled away.
"I'm going to tell Thana you're okay" he walked out of the room.
Giyuu touched his lips. He swore he heard a voice say 'see you would have missed that' .
When finally free to go after getting pestered by Shinobu he made his way to Thana per request.
Once there he saw her sitting by the fire place.
"Thana-"
"Tell me Giyuu, why did you try to kill yourself?" she said eyeing the fire.
"W-well it's complicated" he said not expecting her to ask him that.
He watched her grip his hoari and stand up. His eyes widened as he saw her put it above the fire, balled up in her hand.
"H-hey! Now wait a minute-"
"Promise me you'll never do it again" she said quietly.
"Hold on-"
"Promise me or it burns!" she yells
"I promise!" he yells back.
"Promise what say it correctly Giyuu!"
"I promise I won't try and kill myself" he said tears running down his face.
"Really?"
"Yes!" he sobbed out.
"Good." she said. She pulled away from the fire and walked closer to Giyuu pulling him into a hug.
She wrapped the hoari around him. She kissed his head.
"Good." she wiped her tears.
She got down onto her knees, and grips his arms a bit too hard.
He hissed and she apologized. She wiped his tears. He sniffed.
"I'm sorry nii-san I just felt unneeded"
"Well you're not, you're important, don't forget that."
"Do-"
"Yes they know"
Giyuu frowns.
"I'll make sure they keep their mouths shut."
He nods.
"Alright for know here are the rules. You are going to stay with me. You're going to eat healthy portions of food, you're -"
"I know nii-san I haven't forgotten those rules, I'll follow them"
"Good, now I want to clean your wounds, then feed you, then then you're resting got it?"
Giyuu nods.
"Good" she stood up.
Night fell and Giyuu laid resting his head on Thana, all worries melted away of her sleeping features.
Giyuu watched her chest rise and fall, before letting his eyes flutter shut.
That same voice rings in his head before he passed out.
'See you could have missed this.'
