CAIAH's POV
You have to live your life to the fullest. Live like it's your last day on earth. Do whatever that will make you happy. Never fear things that you haven't experienced yet. Don't let anyone or anything hold a control in your life. You gotta say yes to the things you want because who knows what future holds?
I woke up with a terrible headache the next morning. The rays of the sun are peeping through my open window. I get up and sit on my bed with my back leaning on the headboard. I scratch my eyes and that's when I notice that my bruises are all treated now. Must be Excekiel last night when I fell asleep
I roam my eyes around my room and it landed on the georgous man that is lying on my sofa with his arms on his closed eyes. He's still wearing the same clothes he wore yesterday. He seems to lack of sleep but didn't lessen how great he looks. He's like a model, doing a photoshoot while lying on a sofa. My sofa actually looks very small compare to his large frame. I bet his back will ache when he wakes up
I decided to get up and do my morning routines in the bathroom. After that, I exited the bathroom and went to his side. I keep my eyes on his face. He looks very peaceful when he's asleep, like an angel who doesn't know how to cuss
After minutes of staring at his handsome face, I decided to go downstairs to prepare for our breakfast. I didn't know how to cook complicated meals so I decided to just toast a bread for us and cut some vegetables. I also watch a video on youtube on how to fry an egg and ham
I did it after countless of failures. I look at the trashcan where the burnt eggs and hams are and then back to the ones that I successfully cook. There are 2 eggs and 4 hams on the plate and a lot on trashcan. I massage the back of my neck. God! This is failure. This would be the last time that I would cook and it's a promise
I'm currently preparing the table when someone suddenly hug me from behind. I didn't bother to panic since I already knew who it was when his familiar manly smell hit my nostrils
"You should've woke me up so I'll be the one to prepare our breakfast. You still need to rest"
"I don't have the heart to wake you up. Besides, I'm fine now no need to worry" I assured him as I continue to prepare the table even though there's nothing much to prepare
I just don't know how to react in front of him after he witnessed my vulnerable side. It actually feels awkward for me. Maybe bacause I'm not used of having someone beside me during the worst times of my life. And this, having him feels strange and overwhelming
"But still. I almost panicked when I saw your bed empty. I thought something bad happened to you" rinig ko ang pagkabahala sa kanyang boses at mas lalong ibinaon ang mukha sa pagitan ng leeg at balikat ko
Napabuntong hininga na lamang ako at humarap sa kanya habang nananatili pa din ang mga kamay niya sa bewang ko. He obviously just woke up from a deep sleep base na rin sa namumungay niyang mga mata at magulong buhok. I put my both hand on his face and made him look at me. He gave me a pout which made me smile
"Nothing bad happened. See?" I said while looking directly into his eyes
"I'm perfectly fine" I gave him a smile to reassure him
Yumuko lamang siya at hinigit ako para sa isang yakap
"I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you. I promise I wouldn't let that happen again" he whisper with an obvious guilt in his voice
I shook my head and tap his back
"It's not your fault. And it's not your obligation to protect me" I said trying to comfort him
