After cleaning the living room, kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, hallway closet and June's bedroom, Jin decides to fix Lily's door.
He slips a coat and boots on before jogging out into the hard-packed snow, rushing to his car to get his toolbox that he's sure holds a bottle of oil he can use to fix the squeaky door.
After finding what he's looking for, Jin locks his car and runs back inside, shivering just from the few moments he spent in the harsh cool air. After stomping the snow out of his boots, he takes them off, shedding his coat before going to oil the hinges of the door.
He could have told Lily how to do this - how it would only take her a minute to do it and the squeak would be gone. But he feels bad for scaring her, and he never wants to make her feel that way around him.
After the hinges are oiled, Jin stashes the bottle of oil in the hallway closet in case it's needed again; he'd rather not bear the winter air again to put it back in his toolbox, anyway.
Jin sighs, pacing around the house mindlessly as his hands fumble with each other. Owning a restaurant has its perks with it bringing in a generous amount of money, not to mention he can delegate all of the physical labor onto other people so he can do what he needs to do from home. Or rather, from the home of June and Lily.
He's been spending all his time here lately, and he hopes that June will ask him to move in soon. He doesn't want to come off as clingy and ask if he can move in, but he can't bear the loneliness of being in his apartment without June. And without Lily.
Now that he can primarily work from home, doing all the paperwork from the comfort of his girlfriend's couch, he has found far too much free time on his hands. Lily and June both work at the same grocery store just down the road from their house, so he finds himself alone in their house a lot, which they have never expressed any discomfort in.
Jin tries to keep himself entertained through the day. He watches television, rolls his eyes at what people find entertaining these days. He cooks himself some lunch, the silence in the house creating a growing tension that Jin hates. He doesn't like the sisters going to work, but they insist they don't want to rely on Jin and his money, though he has offered to help them financially so they don't have to work.
Finally, after Jin can't stand the idle hobbies of watching television and mindlessly pacing around the empty house, Jin decides to clean Lily's room. He knows she enjoys things being clean, the fond memory of watching her clean up after her sister time and time again creating a warmth in his bones as he walks into her room. She doesn't have much time to clean these days like she used to when he first met her and her sister, so he knows she will thank him for all the cleaning he has done today.
He wants to bury his nose into her pillow again, wrapping his fingers around himself as he breathes in the sun-kissed honey, but he wants to make her happy. He knows that if she comes home after a long day at work to a clean bedroom, she'll feel more relaxed than she did this morning.
So, he sets his sights on getting Lily's room spotless. He takes all of her dirty laundry in his hands, carrying them to the laundry basket in the bathroom. The two sisters keep their laundry separated so as to not accidentally (or sometimes purposefully) take the other's clothes. Jin keeps his dirty laundry with June's, though Lily is usually the one who does the laundry for everyone. She's stopped letting June do it recently because she "doesn't do it right."
Sometimes, Jin thinks June messes up household chores like laundry and cooking on purpose so she is never expected to do it. He smiles to himself at the thought.
Jin comes back to the present moment as he lets the pile of dirty laundry tumble from his hands into the basket, his skin igniting when he sees a pair of Lily's underwear caught on his fingertips.
He shakes his hand, letting the fabric fall away into the basket.
Jin takes a deep breath, willing himself not to give in as he turns to go back into Lily's room to make her bed and vacuum the floor.
After the floor is clean, Jin finally moves to her bed, fluffing up the pillows and pulling the blanket up, smoothed to perfection.
The scent of Lily wafts up as he adjusts the bedspread, and he lets himself breathe deeply, goosebumps on his skin.
He decides he deserves to reward himself for how much he's done today. The house, from top to bottom, is spotless.
Shouldn't he reward himself?
He should.
Jin's heart skips a beat as he gently lays down on Lily's freshly made bed, his stomach and chest pressing into the mattress as he buries his face into her pillow.
His mind wanders as he breathes in her scent, imagining the girl of his fantasies laying on her stomach in her bed, thin straps slipping off her shoulders as her sun-kissed skin glitters in the moonlight.
Jin shifts, turning to lay on his back as he moves the pillow to lay on top of his face.
He won't let himself be interrupted this time, his fingers moving quickly to undo the button of his pants as Lily's pillow muffles his desperate moans.
