Chapter Fifteen:

Clara

I was surprised because I was ready before Harry. He was still in Billie's room. I only knew this because I heard him fumbling and dropping things in the other room.

"Are you ready yet?" I shouted through the door.

"Yeah, just give me a second!" He shouted back, still dropping everything he picked up.

Whilst I waited for Harry, I grabbed a small bag that Billie had left out and stuffed my red lipstick, phone, a small perfume and purse into it. When Harry finally comes out, he looks amazing.

He was wearing a white button up shirt and teal smart trousers, paired with some black shoes. He also had rings littering his fingers. His fingers were wrapped around a bunch of flowers. A mix of tulips, daisies, sunflowers and peach coloured roses.

"Mmh, you look stunning, honey." He complimented me, handing me the bunch of flowers from before.

I wondered when he went out to get them. He either snuck out when I was getting ready or he got them yesterday as we had been together all day. I smelt the flowers, taking in all their different scents. "Mmh, these are beautiful. Thank you Harry. And as for you, you look sexy." I clicked my tongue in my mouth and whistled.

Harry turned his head away, blushing at my words. "Just take these." He shoved the flowers further into my hand. I took them and ran the tap for a bit. It would have to do because I didn't think this place had vases.

As we walked out the door, into the elevator, Harry grabbed a matching blazer to his trousers. He looked really smart. We took the elevator down and went into the building's lobby. Multiple pairs of eyes turned to the opening elevator door. One person that burnt into my brain was an older middle aged woman smiling at me from behind the desk.

I smiled back at her because today had literally been so perfect so far. It made me so happy that I was happy. I always had down days so being able to get out and have someone take me to all these places that I definitely didn't deserve to go to.

I wouldn't tell Harry that though.

There was already a taxi waiting outside the lobby so we hopped in. Harry secretly told the driver where to go, without me knowing. The taxi took us out of the street the other way than we had walked from earlier. It took us down a tight road that was probably only one way through but the taxi driver seemed like an actual god about getting us through the city without hitting the heavy traffic.

I did ask Harry where we were going but he didn't let on. "Can't you just fucking tell me?" I whined, throwing my head back on the headrest.

"You'll know when you see it." Was all he said.

It was bloody annoying. I hated surprises. Well hated was a strong word to use. I disliked surprises very much. The fear of the unknown.

I huffed and turned my head away from Harry, looking out the window. The sun was starting to set but it was still high in the sky. However the wind that whipped through the street, counter acted on the humid Paris streets and the sun beating down.

The buildings on either side of us were tall and beige. The buildings in Paris often had tall wooden doors with balconies. Little balconies that you could only hang three pieces of clothing off at once. One thing I did find strange was that the windows on the ground floor often had bars across the windows. Like that doesn't happen in England.

We were in the taxi for just under 15 minutes before I spotted the Eiffel Tower really close up. My eyes shot over to Harry, where he was grinning.

"You son of a bitch! You didn't, did you?" I slapped him on the arm.
