Chapter Three:
Clara
The next few days flew by. It was pretty much all the same. Went out into the city, had a wander round the university so I could try and get my bearings. As much as I loved to drink and shag about with both men and women, I valued my education. I knew what I wanted to do and I knew how to get there. Billie valued her education, granted her course is a tad bit harder than mine but she was convinced that she was born to cut bodies open.
I had the luxury of just attending lectures, reading the books I needed to, and occasional essays. She, however, had to learn about actually saving people's lives and she couldn't fuck that up. I had no idea what the boys were studying but I think Niall said he was doing law which is also quite impressive.
I needed to sit down and have a coffee with him because I feel like he's a totally different person to the one I knew. Well, he obviously was going to be, he wasn't ten anymore.
The first lecture rolled around pretty quickly. I had chosen to wear a pair of casual plaid trousers with a plain black t-shirt that was paired with a pair of doc martens. As for my makeup, it was basic, a little smoky wing with a nude lip.
I told you it was basic. Just wait till you see my party outfits.
I walked out the house earlier than everyone else today which resulted in me turning up early but not too early. I think I had underestimated the time it would take to get from the house to the lecture hall. I had to take a bus from Orchard Park to the bus depot and then walk through the city to the Sidgwick Site where my lecture was being held.
The ten or so minute walk was enough to clear my head and take in all of the surroundings. I did have to use google maps to know where I was going but I got there in the end. I think I arrived with about fifteen minutes to spare so I took a seat opposite the door and pulled out The Great Gatsby.
My professor was a middle aged woman with blonde hair that had streaks of grey passing through it showing clear signs of aging but she hardly had any indentations on her face to show this. She turned up and let me in, we exchanged a vague greeting as I introduced myself. I took my seat towards the back of the hall because I was never the type of person that would openly answer questions or contribute unless I had something absolutely dire to say.
I continued to read until I randomly decided to look up towards the door. Only to see a relatively tall boy with floppy curls walk into the room. He avoided eye contact with everyone only looking up to find a seat but I kept my eyes intensely trained on him. He wandered in looking just as clueless as I looked. He intrigued me. I didn't know if it was his amazing sense of fashion or just the way that he gave off this different type of aura as everyone else. He was also very attractive as well. Holy moly. He either gave this sort of poor and smart boy aura or rich daddy's boy aura. I didn't think it was the latter of the two. He sat in the row behind me but on the other side.
Dr Green was a really good teacher actually and this meant that I contributed a relatively large amount. Today being the first lesson meant that we just described literature and what each of our favourites were. I of course said Alice in Wonderland because why wouldn't I. Mystery boy at the back made a bold choice. He said that it was out of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, such a good choice, or Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë.
His deep and husky voice filled the air, vibrating around the room and bouncing off walls until it finally entered my ears and registered in my brain. He had a more northern accent than me but accentuated perfectly. It was like he was made for such a pristine school as this. It's okay to find people attractive. Yes, from what I saw and heard, he seemed attractive but maybe he was an ass. He was probably an absolute dickwad. I still didn't know what his face looked like because it would have been too obvious that I was checking him out if I turned around.

Fanfic"Didn't think you would come to be honest, Curls," I said to him, getting closer. "You've already exceeded my expectations." I smirked, whispering into his ear. Finally, he turned around to face me, lips pursed. His eyes trailed my body. "Are you...
