Working Girl...

I woke up three hours before my alarm went off. Normally people would get mad, but in truth I felt pretty rested and didn't want to take the chance in missing my alarm if i went back to sleep.

I took this as an opportunity to work more on my article. After about an hour and a half later, it was close to 4:20am, so I closed my laptop and grabbed the book i've been reading for the last week, The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton.

I put on soft music and grabbed the blanket from off my bed. I jumped on the beanbag and got lost in the book. After another hour later I decided it was time to get ready for the work day.

I walk over to my closet and pull out my dark blue floral corduroy overall dress, and a white long sleeve shirt. I get dressed, and side on my Birkenstock. I go into my bathroom and brush my teeth and hair. I put up my hair into a high messy bun and out in a few bobby-pins to keep it up all day. I also brush out my eyebrows so they weren't so crazy. I put chapstick on my lips and moisturizer on my face. I put in my small pearl ear rings, and necklace. I grab my glasses and put them on my face. I'm not blind but sometimes from looking at a screen for too long my eyes get tired.

I walk out of the bathroom and pack my bag. I put my laptop and notebook in my computer bag, and my wallet and keys in my purse, along with a small note pad and pen. I look at the time and see it's almost 7am. I grab my bags and walk out my room, shutting the door softly not to wake anyone.

I forgot Knox was staying with us, and almost set my stuff down on top of his sleeping body. I could hear the soft sounds of his snoring. Given that me and Lizzy don't have to be at work until 8, I figured I should make a quick breakfast for everyone.

Kayden and Malcolm both work at the elementary school that Bella. So usually they will take Bella to school and some days I will ask Lizzy for a ride. Technically the Jeep is mine, but given that Lizzy has a kid, I let her use it whenever she needs. I enjoy walking to work or riding my bike, it's better for the environment anyways.

Lizzy walked out of the bathroom as I was scrambling eggs. She smiled at me, her cheeks were rosey pink. Her hair was a mess, and she was still in her pjs.

I smile and say "Someone had a fun night." I chuckle a little. At this time Bella came out of her bedroom, she was wearing a cute little pink dress with flowers on it, and white low top converse.

"You could say that." Lizzy said giggling.

Bella jumped up onto the bar stool on the other side of the sink. The toast put up in the toaster and i grabbed two plates for them both. Putting the eggs, bacon, and toast on their plates and grabbing the syrup. Don't ask me, they both like to put it on their bacon.

I grab the pot of coffee that had finished brewing and two mugs. I poured coffee into both, then grabbed the almond milk from the fridge. Thankfully Lizzy doesn't like milk in her coffee. I put the mug down in front of her and she happily takes a big sip. I get a glass for Bella and pour some apple juice in it, putting it down in front of her.

"How did you both sleep?" Lizzy said eating her toast.

"Good." Bella said while eating her bacon.

"Good." I say nodding. I put eggs and toast on a plate and started eating when I noticed Knox walking up to the bar. He was shirtless and wearing dark gray sweat pants. I look down at my food to keep from staring.

"Smells good." He said.

"Aunt Gracie made it." Bella said. "You know your very cute sir."

"Umm thank you." Knox said.
