"We are going to Style's!" Lizzy said."Okay." I said not questioning any further. Screw it, let's go have fun. "What about the kiddos?"
"Already at Pop's" Jax said getting up from the couch.
I nodded and said "Okay, let's go! Knox your with me." I looked over to Knox who was leaning in the door frame with his arms crossed. He nodded, walked to the door, which I followed back out. I've found the best plans in life come with no planning. Sometimes it's best to just go with the flow.
We all piled into 3 cars, with me and Knox in my jeep, Malcolm driving the car, with Kayden, Lizzy, and James, and Steve driving his truck with Jax, Willie, Kailey, and Morgan. I turned on the jeep, and turned back on the radio.
"I realized you'd rather be late then drive without music." Knox said with a smirk from beside me.
"Oh yeah," I said trying to find something good on. "I don't care how late im running, we not moving till there's music." After a few more seconds I heard Darius Rucker's Wagon Wheel and turned it up as loud as I could.
This will forever be the sing along song. I started yelling the lyrics, looking over to the cars beside me. Kayden and Steve turned on the same station and started singing along with me. I put the jeep in reverse and backed out of the driveway. I pulled back fat enough to block the road for Malcolm and Steve to pull out in front of me. We all drove together with Steve's truck in front, and me in the back.
The drive to the bar was short. The song didn't even have time to finish before we were pulling under the neon sign that said 'Style's Bar and Grill'. This is the only bar we have on our side of town, so it was a given that we would see a few family friends inside.
Style's isn't anything fancy, just a simple four wall bar, with a pool table, three round table, and a bar with 9 barstools. Willie, Jax, Steve, and James walked over to the pool table. I looked over to Knox and nodded for him to go have fun with the boys. He smiled at me and walked away.
Lizzy and I sat down at the bar, and ordered 6 shots of tequila. One for each of us at the bar. We also ordered 10 beers for everyone. After a few moments the bartender Kyle, who we all went to high school with put all the drinks on the table. We all brought the beers to the boys, along with our shots. I went to hand one of the shots to Kailey who was standing by Steve.
"Oh no I can't." Kailey said. Causing everyone to turn there heads. I raised an eyebrow at Kailey and Steve.
Steve put his arms around Kailey, and rubbed her belly. My eyes went wide, and a huge grin spread across my face. "WHAT!" I said excitedly. I practically jumped into Steve and Kailey's arms to hug them. I pulled away and said. "That's what you wanted to tell me in New York."
"Wait?" Lizzy said. "Your pregnant?"
"Yeah, we wanted to tell the whole family together," Steve said. "But our baby girl is due in December."
"It's a girl!" Kayden said, moving to hug Kailey.
"Oh thank God!" Morgan said, making everyone turn there heads to her. "What we need more women in the family." She said taking a sip of her beer.
"Well if you don't want your shot Kailey, i'll take it." Malcolm said, making everyone laugh. Kailey handed it to Malcolm.
"Well then let's raise a glass to the little blessing. The new addition to this crazy, and yet absolutely amazing family. May she be know that she loved." Willie said, which shocked everyone with his kind words. We all raised a glass and Willie continued. "Here's to the little AssKicker!" We all smiled and clicked our glasses. All of us throwing back our drinks. With the exception of Kailey.
