All she ever wanted is to be the happiest woman in the world, have a stable career as well as a supportive husband by her side. That's what she ever wanted. Now, it seems that everything she dreamed was slipping out of her grips.

Heather went back to her hotel room and immediately took a shower. Accepting an invitation from someone she did not know at all was the biggest risk she ever took. Frankly, she was wondering herself why did she just accept it blindly without even thinking of the consequences.

Nevertheless, it does not matter anymore. What she wanted now are delicious food, good company, and perhaps a lot of drink – so when she wake up tomorrow, the pain would be away from her heart.

Heather dressed up with a casual floral print maxi that has been paired up with stunning diamond stud earrings. She also applied some light make-up just to make sure to hide her swollen face due to excessive crying.

Around eight of the night, Heather went to the place where Philip promised to meet up with her which is in the hotel lobby. To make it even funnier, his room was located approximately a level below her. Surprisingly, he was there literally half an hour earlier.

"Wow, you are so punctual." Heather praised him in astonishment. It was her first to meet a guy that was so on time and keep with his promise, unlike the guy that she felt nausea to mutter his name. Malcolm is usually late and never even bothered to change his bad attitude even though Heather always scolded him.

"What kind of attorney am I if I cannot be on time." He winked and both were walking side by side to the restaurant. It is just located nearby their accommodation place in Chaweng Beach.

Heather did not talk much during the dinner as Philip obviously could not shut his mouth even for a second. Due to his nature as an attorney, the Korean American man just spoke what he had on his mind even though it does irritate her a bit. They ate their Thai-foods delicacies in utter silence right before Heather asked him whether he would like to accompany her to the bar later.

"Hey, mind if you have a drink with me tonight?" She asked, stuttering. Visibly, she was nervous, and her face could not hide it.

"Yeah, sure." Philip nodded, delighted to join her for a drink later. It has been a while since he did not mingle with the opposite sex as he was very busy as his workloads keep on increasing each day.

Soon after that, both Philip and Heather went to the bar to have a drink as well as get to know each other. Philip did some small talks to prolong the time so she could be with him longer. For him, she is one of a kind and he would not let the chances go away just like that. Even hiding sorrow within her heart, Heather seems inconsolable and Philip thought it would be better for him to console her.

The bar was crowded with people and luckily, they got a place to sit. Heather ordered the strongest vodka while he had a beer. Then, he whispered something to her amidst the rowdy ambience.

"Sometimes you have to let go of the past. Don't let it burden you."

"I won't let Malcolm burden me. He just pain in the ass!" Heather said, partially intoxicated with the vodka.

He smiled contentedly. Heather seemed to be in a good mood, much better than someone that he knew yesterday during her crazy attempt at the beach. They were talking, laughing, and losing their mind under the influence of alcohol.

Heather who was never a good drinker went drunk after the sixth shot meanwhile Philip still has his conscience even, he almost drank himself. Slowly, the clock struck an hour before midnight.

"Hey, I think it's enough for tonight." Philip forbade her to go for another drink. Plus, she was already befuddled with the alcohol.

"Sometimes I wonder, am I not beautiful enough until he neglected me so he can be with his bitchy best-friend. That bitch stole my man. She had my fiancé and I dumped him." Heather said carelessly. She did not know what she spoke at that time as her mind was purely blank.

"You are beautiful, my dear." Philip whispered to her right earlobe sincerely. Now he remembered her, the girl that used to steal his heart a few years ago.

Thinking that she would be uncontrollable later, the half-drunken Philip brought her back to the room and it was not her room – but to his room. At that time also, Heather acted promiscuously as she could not stop the spark of attraction between them. No wonder alcohol is a devil within our life as it just brings more catastrophic than pleasure.

Under the influence of the devil's water, the two of them were making love inside Philip's room.  With no protection, they did not know that something miraculous has taken place.

On the next day, Heather woke up when a ray of sunlight shone brightly on her face. With a heavy headache, she opened her eyelid just to see Philip by her side; naked and he was sleeping peacefully like a little boy. Suddenly, last night's memories popped into her mind and she still could not believe that she had just hook-up with the guy she barely knew.

'Gosh, I can't believe that I had a one night stand with this law guy. Perhaps I should go back to my room, pack up and forget that we ever met. So, embarrassing!'

In silence, Heather walked out of his room after donning back her clothes that were scattered on the floor. Without any notes left, she kissed him goodbye on the cheek and thought it would be best if they did not contact each other – and let's just pretend that there is no string attached afterwards.

"Goodbye, Philip. Thank you for everything and I hope you will be happy with your life. I pray we won't cross paths again as I don't want you to get stuck with the emotional me again. Adios!"

On the other hand, Philip woke up right after a warm mouth just landed on his cheek. It certainly was the best night of his life to reunite back with his old crush, but he was a little too late to stop her from going out of his life. What a shame!
