Chapter 19: Never Going To Give Up

 Moments are the things that Heather wants to cherish with her beloved Philip. Both of them now still living in New Jersey where he relocated to her house, just opposite his parent's house. Although Philip at first insisted on them staying inside the house of his old folks, however, his mother insisted they have their privacy and live their own life as she wanted them to receive their bundle of joy as soon as possible.

Since her maternity leave has ended, Heather went back to her boring job as usual in the art gallery where she served as the director, and guess what; a stack of things that she has to do was waiting for her in the office. On one fine day at the end of summer, Heather was on her way to grab a coffee in the local café as she needed caffeine for her to stay energetic especially when the workload has increased drastically.

However, her heart sank when she saw Bianca chatting and having a coffee with a guy that was so familiar in her life. Yes, she was talking with her husband – and how on earth both of them could get to know one another. Heather reassured herself, not to think negatively as perhaps the two of them were discussing the law; since Bianca is a lawyer and Philip is an Assistant General Attorney of New York. Fortunately, they did not see her and after grabbing her ice cappuccino – Heather went out of the café with a lot of thoughts inside her mind.

'I was trying not to think too much about what I just saw with my own eyes. How come with so many women in New York, he would be having a conversation with the person that has ruined my previous relationship. I just hope that Philip did not fall into her trap or perhaps I am thinking over and they just have a discussion about legal matters. Gosh, why Bianca has to come into my life once again and because of her – my life has turned upside down.'

Thinking she should share her doubt with someone, Heather dialled the number of her best friend Daphne on her cell phone. A few seconds later, the public relations manager answered the call with a happy tone as it has been a long time since she and Heather have a pleasant conversation. "Hey, Heather. How are you?"

Instead of replying to her question, she immediately jumped to the point where Heather wanted to ask her suggestion for the things that have been playing on my mind. 

"Daphne, I really need to get your opinion. I just saw that bitch with my husband in the café nearby my office. Apparently, Philip's office also nearby to mine but I do not understand why he has to meet with her? You know what I'm thinking about?"

"Wait.... the bitch is Bianca? Bianca Wood that became the reason for your downfall relationship with Malcolm?"

"Yes, and I saw her with my Philip. I don't understand why she has to interfere with my happiness when she can have Malcolm now." Heather was sighing deeply, still surreal with what she saw at the café where her husband and her nemesis were pleasantly having a coffee.

"Okay, my solution is you need to ask Philip about it. Perhaps they were having a business chat or maybe, they used to be friends before. If I am not mistaken, both of them are in the legal business, right?" Daphne then gave her opinion to the emotional Heather who could not hide her sadness through her voice. The past has left her shattered and she did not want Philip to fall into Bianca just like Malcolm did.

Heather nodded understandingly and after conveying a goodbye, she then continued her usual routine with a heart that feels so relieved. By hook or by crook, Heather was wanting to know the truth from Philip's mouth about his relationship with Bianca as she wants him to stay loyal and honest. 

Heather sipped her ice cappuccino insatiably before sketching something on her sketchbook. Due to the stress, she usually let it go through a sketch as it could ease the tension of her life. Inside her mind, she still trying to find a reason why Bianca was always entangled with her life as she did not hear much other than being introduced by Malcolm as his childhood best friend – and since that day, her life has never been easier as Bianca kept on giving her a hard time as well as ruining her times with Malcolm.
