Chapter 7: Jubilation of Love

Together, they headed straight for dinner in a local restaurant where Philip was ordering massive food for both of them. The ambience in the eatery was packed with people but it did not stop both of them to enjoy the mouth-watering local delicacies of the Korean people. As for Heather, she did feel a little bit of nausea but thank God that she managed to control her morning sickness without ruining their second dinner – the last was in Koh Samui a couple of months ago.

"How was the 'Jeon'? Is that good?" Philip asked, anticipating the answer that would be out of her mouth. To treat the mother of his child rightly, Philip wanted nothing but the best for her first trip as well as wanting Heather to be comfortable here, and that was the reason why he rather helps her to be a good translator.

"Not bad." She responded with a smile. Having good food with the man that she did not expect to meet perhaps would be a sign from heaven that good life going to approach her soon.

Later on, both of them were heading back to their respective hotel and Heather could not wait to clean herself. Soon after she finished her first shower in this foreign land, she grabbed her diary and held a pen so she could start writing about her first experiences here in South Korea inside the lilac book.

'I was so frustrated with the ambience here as the language has become the barrier of me to communicate with the locals. I don't know how the other tourist deal with the troubles that I was facing. While I was grumping about my life, guess what; I met him even my heart desire to meet him but my brain don't. He still like himself. Lawyer always be a lawyer where he could not stop from talking but how on earth, he could know I am pregnant with his child? This guy is something I cannot understand what's on his mind. I wish I could write more but my child is begging me to sleep...so full stop.'

After jotting down the last sentence, Heather was yawning so badly as she was exhausted with all the travelling and so on. Without any doubt, she was shutting her eyes with the hope that tomorrow would be a great day than this day. Under the heavy rain outside, one pregnant lady was in her great dreams but not on Philip Kim as he could not sleep that night due to a lot of reasons.

First of all, he still could not believe his brain that he would be a father soon. Although he felt a little bit guilty for impregnating her but on the other way; it would be the reason Heather and he unites someday for the sake of their child. Guess the patience of waiting for her crush has been fruitful as he is now a little bit closer to hitching Heather to be the one and only woman inside his heart.

'I have been waiting for her for how many years... I don't really remember. If I did not have a break in Koh Samui, perhaps I would not meet her and the two of us are not going to be a parent. I just cannot wait to meet my little child someday.'

On the next day, both Philip and Heather attended their respective commitments where Heather became one of the judges for the art exhibition at the Seoul National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art while Philip needed to attend an international conference in the Park Hyatt Seoul Hotel. Due to their busyness, both were committed to meeting again as they have a few days left in the metropolitan city and even need to jungle with the heavy schedules.

After their work obligations have been over, Philip went to Heather's hotel as she could not go far due to the soreness in both of her legs. Due to her condition, he understood that Heather needs a lot of rest after battling with her job in the bright daylight. Even though she was still in the first trimester, Heather's baby bump could not be seen yet but it did not stop Philip from caressing her belly.

"My dear, how are you? Your father is here." He said in full of anticipation. Who did not excited to be a father for the first time?

Due to his unpredictable gesture, Heather was moved by Philip but her mind was still in a denial mode where she could not be in a romantic relationship due to her bad memories with it after the end of her love story with Malcolm a few months ago. Philip might be a nice man but what if her heart been broken again; just like what she experienced with Malcolm.
