"Really? A war between the Elves and Humans?" Han frowned and nodded, "I never expected such an event would occur. I remember the king saying an entire speech on how he disagreed with how the Elves ran their forest, but I didn't think anything would come of it. I snuck out before he finished."

Y/n nodded and leaned back in his seat. He fidgeted with his cup of tea as he gazed out the window and at the lake. The two had been talking the entire night and it was now morning. A family of ducks passed over the clear water with the sunrise framing them. It was a calming sight.

Han's eyes had changed colors since he had last seen him. Before, his eyes were both brown. Now, only one was brown while the other was an emerald green. The color of this eye matched the color of the thick cloak he was wearing. Beneath this cloak was a tweed shirt and brown, wool pants. On his feet he wore sandals with straps that wrapped up underneath his pants.

"When I went in to get food everyone was cheering. There was food covering every surface, though. I thought it was quite strange," Y/n sighed.

"Every surface?" Han straightened his posture, "That's not good. If I remember, there's actually a magic user amongst the Dwarves that has a magic style similar to that."

"The Dwarves? Makes sense. I remember a cloaked Dwarf attending the second feast the king had held," Y/n rubbed his chin and hummed.

"The most recent one right?" Han asked and Y/n nodded, "I think I may understand what the king is doing."

"Please, do share."

"Well, I believe the king has brainwashed his soldiers, as you had assumed before, after a recent meeting the king held with their allies," Han smiled, "It just so happens that in this meeting, they were discussing how they were going to split the land once they rule it all."

"How do you know that?" Y/n asked with a tilt of his head.

"I'm smart enough to keep an eye on some of what's going on in the world. Besides, I knew you'd be coming for me at some point. I have to have some information prepared for you, my dear friend," Han's expression was smug as he leaned back in his seat.

"You are truly the best," he laughed and picked his tea cup up, "You're always thinking about me."

He took a small sip as Han said, "Of course I am. You're the only friend that I knew would remember me. I have to keep my companions close."

"Changbin isn't a friend then?" Y/n asked.

"Of course not. He's more of an acquaintance. Someone I work with every now and again."

"You two work with each other?"

"Yes, I just said that? Anyway, we have two different styles of magic, so we support each other when the need arises," Han hummed as he sipped his own tea.

"How come he traveled down the wrong path, then?" he asked as he placed his teacup down.

"I sent him down the wrong path because you were visiting. I don't need a buffoon like him bothering our time together."

"Buffoon? He's no buffoon, he's very intelligent. I mean, to have learned as many techniques as he has, I'm sure he's superior to many."

Han laughed and poured the rest of his tea onto the floor. The floor, though, had opened up a hole that swallowed the tea. He then dropped the cup to follow it. Y/n stared at the floor after the hole had closed with his mouth slightly open.

"Just because he's intelligent and powerful doesn't mean he's better than me. I mean, there is a reason he keeps bothering me to accept him as my apprentice," Han laughed.
