Y/n awoke to someone shaking him. It was a centaur he hadn't met. She looked panicked as she took a step back, putting a slight distance between them. Y/n frowned and threw his legs over the side of the bed.

"What happened?" he asked.

"I don't know. Leader Gragg ordered me to wake you and on my way I heard an explosion and then their bodies flew and, and," tears streamed down her face as she collapsed.

Y/n jumped up and caught her head before it hit the ground. She had fainted. He cursed under his breath as he gripped his sword. Distant yells of victory carried over the screams of agony from who knows what side.

He ran outside. His feet slammed against the hard ground and sent a shock through his body with each step. Something flew at him from his right. An arrow. He dropped to the ground and rolled before breaking out into a sprint. The sounds of battle were coming from the south. Billowing smoke rose from the same direction.

A beam of blue energy shot past him, just barely missing his throat. The magic user. He whipped his head around and made direct eye contact with the smug, female Dwarf standing a couple yards away. She wore a billowing black cloak that hid the top half of her face. Her only visible feature was her blood red lips. Her hands like claws as they outstretched towards him. Y/n unsheathed his sword. A wave of energy washed over him as he pointed his sword at the Dwarf. The Dwarf laughed.

"You poor Humans are all the same," she started as balls of energy began manifesting in her hands, "proud but weak."

Y/n wasn't really listening to what the Dwarf was saying as he pulled the bag of seeds out with his left hand. Another wave of energy pulsed through his body as he took a step forward.

"Oh, what's this?" she cooed as the energy balls grew in size, "You have a magic user influencing you. Quite a powerful one too. How interesting."

The ground rumbled beneath him as he started running. The Dwarven magic user released the balls of energy into the ground. Y/n jumped up as the ground cracked beneath him. Plants shot up through the cracks with a loud BOOM. He pushed off one of the plants and landed in a roll. Another pulse of energy.

Y/n flipped out of the way as the magic user threw another blue beam. He watched as it hit a tree. The tree began to sizzle before withering away. The tree decayed at an unnatural speed, but he had no time to wonder what that beam would've done to him as the magic user had already begun the prep for her next attack. He hadn't landed a hit on her yet and was starting to take it personally.

He knew that the energy that drummed throughout his body had to be Han's support system. He remembered the flash of green in his eyes before they had separated. If Y/n approached this situation wisely, he would've been able to use the energy as a speed boost, throw one of the seeds, distract the magic user, then cut her down with his sword. It sounded easy enough, but with the rate the magic user was attacking it would be difficult to find a good window.

"The fight within you is of no use, Human. No matter how many times you evade my attacks you will eventually grow tired. It is inevitable! Give up now and join us! If you do not join us, then maybe you'll perish instead," she laughed and slammed her hand against a tree.

From the branches of the tree flew hundreds of birds. All of which were aiming directly for his face. He raised his sword to parry the birds, or at least try, but before any bird could touch him a wall of energy flew out of him. His eyes widened as the birds slammed into it.

"That's her," Han's voice rang through his head, "that's the magic user I was telling you about."

"I was able to put at least that much together," Y/n shook his head as the wall of energy fell.
