"Aslan, Caspian!" Daria huffed out as she stormed back to the fire. "You can be a real moron sometimes, you know that?"
"Well, if you would just listen we wouldn't have to deal with this." Caspian rolled his eyes. Daria scoffed and laid in her spot on the shore. She shared a wink with Caspian as he too returned to his spot.

Edmund waited until he could hear the soft snores coming from Daria before he turned to Caspian.
"So, that didn't work out well, huh?" He teased. Caspian scoffed.
"Go to sleep, Ed." He rolled his eyes with a bright smile. Edmund shook his head with a knowing smile of his own. Of course he figured them out.

-

"Lucy, Daria! Wake up!" Gael smacked the two of the girls without glancing at them.
Daria shot up with a gasp, hands immediately on her weapons. "What is it?" She turned to the girl.
"Look!" Gael pointed to the sky where a bright blue star floated by.
"Oh wow." Daria chuckled. "The blue star."
"Everybody!" Lucy stood quickly to get the crew's attention.
"What, what is it?" Reepicheep bounced up.
"Everybody, wake up." Daria smacked the mens legs and shoulders to shake them from their dreams.
"It's the Blue Star!" Lucy smiled brightly.
"Come on old boy, wake up!" Reep smacked the dragons face lightly.

Lucy stood at the edge of the deck, looking out at the sky when something caught her attention. She chuckled and glanced over her shoulder.
"Dar, come here!" She waved the woman over. "The mermaids are back!"
Daria left Caspian's side and rushed to the edge, however, when she looked over, the mermaids weren't waving like before. Lucy seemed to catch on as well.
"They aren't waving." She pointed out as her smiled fell.
"They're warning us." Daria confirmed grimly.

-

"The wind has left us." Drinian looked up at the bright sky.
"So, how do we get to Ramandu's Island now then?" Edmund glanced around. Caspian laced his arm around Daria's waist and held her close.
"My guess is something doesn't want us to get there." Drinian walked off.
"Oh," Daria perked up. "The mermaids had been trying to wave us off earlier. This must be one of those tests Coriakin had mentioned."
"Mermaids?" Edmund chuckled. Daria hit her hand on the boys abdomen.
"Hush, now." She pointed a finger at him. "You're the one who was going to dive into a pond of gold water." She reminded.
"If I get any hungrier, I'm going to eat that dragon!" A crewman yelled up at the flying beast.
"Don't worry, Eustace. They'll have to deal with me first." Reepicheep calmed the monster down.
"I don't know," Daria shrugged. "He looked very delicious."
Eustace growled lowly. Edmund smirked.
"Don't worry, cousin. She's just messing with you." The Pevensie waved the threat off. Daria laughed lightly.
"If we don't find land by tonight, they may well eat the dragon." Drinian snickered before the boat jerked harshly. Everyone man and woman on board fell over, and unfortunately for Daria, Caspian's body slammed against hers on the rough deck.
"Ow." She groaned as she rubbed her head.
"Sorry darling." Caspian jumped up and held his arm out for her to take. When she did, he pulled her up with ease before turned to help Drinian.
"What did we hit?" He looked around as Daria and Edmund ran to the closest rim they could. Daria barked out a laugh.
"Eustace, that's brilliant!" Edmund complimented. The boy-turned-dragon had wrapped his tail around the front of the ship and flapped his wings to pull them forward. The crewmen cheered and clapped for the beast as they were all very, very tired from all the work. And the break the dragon offered was a sigh of relief.

-

Sitting inside Caspian's office, memories of that night ran through Daria's mind. She couldn't help the blush that crept up on her dark cheeks. She tried to keep her head down and would occasionally push her cold rings into her warm skin.
"We can't be sure the other lords even made it to Ramandu's Island." Caspian held the sword that Daria had gifted him all those years ago.

Eustace unraveled his tail from the boat with one last tug and the crew looked out to the most beautiful island in Narnia.
"Way to go, Eustace!" Daria cheered from the deck.
"What did I tell you, Eustace?" Reepicheep's voice sounded from the dragon's back. "Extraordinary!" The mouse laughed."Extraordinary!"

-

After the long hike up the mountain, night had fallen and the stars were out again.
Edmund walked in the front with his flashlight and pointed it to the many different statues and carvings. Then finally, ahead of them, a large tree trunk was split in two.
After walking in, the crew found a king table with stacks of food along it.
"Mm, food." Travors hummed.
"Wait." Drinian stopped in his tracks. Daria ignored them and walked slowly to the end of the table where the food eventually ended.
"Hey Ed, can you shine the light over here?" She glanced behind her where the young man was looking around.
He nodded and quickly walked behind her, shunning the light forward.
Two heads stuck out from the vines wrapped around the area. They both gasped and shuffled back. Lucy and Caspian on the other side looked over and drew their swords. The crewmen followed suit.
Daria gently grabbed the light from Edmund and shuffled forward with Caspian doing the same on the other side. The king used his sword to point to one of the man's fingers. A large ring sat there untouched.
"Lord Revilian." She nodded to him. Caspian looked at the man next to him.
"Lord Mavramorn." He glanced behind them.
Lucy leaned over and pulled the hair from the first man's face. His strangled breathing startled her and she jumped back, knocking into Daria.
"Whoa, it's all good." She laughed lightly. Caspian leaned forward and listened intently.
"He's breathing." The king furrowed his eyebrows.
"Yeah, except for that. How is this guy alive?" Daria looked at the man.
"So is he." Edmund pointed to the other missing lord. "They're under a spell."
"It's the food." Daria mumbled before turning. "The food! Don't eat it."
Travors dropped the apple he had in his paw with a gasp.
"Hey, that's the stone knife." Edmund shined his light on the dusty table. "This is Aslan's table."
"The swords." Caspian mumbled as he and Daria went for the weapons. Caspian pulled one out as Daria pulled the other.
"On the table." He ushered her.
"If you insist." She whispered so only the king could hear. He scoffed and rolled his eyes but couldn't help a smirk on his face. Lucy leaned over and tossed the sword she had over.
"That's six." Edmund sighed. They shone and eerie blue.
"We're missing one." Daria tapped her chin.
Above them, the sky became a bright blue and Lucy looked up.
"Look!" She tapped Daria's shoulder. The blue star flew from the sky to an opening near the group. Caspian unsheathed his sword and held an arm out to push Daria and Lucy behind him.
As the star moved slowly to the ground, it morphed into a beautiful young woman.
"Whoa." Daria's jaw dropped.
"Travelers of Narnia, welcome." The woman's voice was sweet honey compared to the rough rum the Lynx woman was used to after all these years on board.
The crewmen and Daria went to their knee in a bow. "Arise." The woman said sweetly.
"Are you not hungry?" She smiled kindly.
"Who are you?" Edmund smiled softly.
"I'm Liliandil, daughter of Ramandu." She said softly. "I am your guide." She walked forward. Edmund glanced at Caspian, Daria, and Lucy before stepping forward.
"You're a star." Daria spoke. The woman nodded.
"You are most beautiful." Caspian complemented.
"I-if it is a distraction for you, I-I can change form." Liliandil spoke nervously.
"No." Edmund, Daria, and Caspian said at the same time. Edmund and Caspian shared a glance and a tense, challenging looked passed between the two. Lucy sighed with a shake of her head.
"Please, the food is for you." She raised her hands and the candle came to life. "There is enough for all who are welcome at Aslan's table. Always." After a beat of silence, the star spoke again. "H-help yourselves." The men reached forward.
"Wait," Daria took a step in front of Caspian's protective arm. "What happened to them?"
"Mm, these poor men were half-mad by the time they reached our shores." The blond woman sighed. "They were threatening violence upon each other. Violence is forbidden at the table of Aslan. So, they were set to sleep."
"Will they ever wake?" Lucy furrowed her eyebrows.
"When all is put right." The star smiled. "Now, I must say Daria. You look absolutely ravishing."
"You...you know me?" Daria pointed at her chest.
"Well, of course. We are sisters after all." She chuckled lightly. "Come, there is little time."
"Sisters? What are you-" Daria laughed nervously.
"Not here, come along." Liliandil smiled before turning on her heel and walking another way.
