[A/N: Just a pre-warning, this chapter is going to be really short, but important. Sorry in advance that it's short, but I didn't really know how else to get this in without over-doing everything. Okay, thanks. Enjoy!]
[p.s. I am not French.... at all. I'd like give a special shout-out to my man man, Google Translate! Thanks for getting me through this chapter!]
The Australia leg has finished, and we're on a plane back to Europe. Paris, to be more specific. The most romantic place in the entire planet. Niall has already arranged some alone time for the two of us to sight-see, and I was super excited.
As we landed in Paris, I checked the weather on my phone, and frowned. "Cold and rainy all week." I sigh.
"Hey, that's okay. We can kiss in the rain." Niall says, smirking. I roll my eyes jokingly and peck his lips.
We get off the plane, grab our bags, and head outside the airport where the tour bus was already parked. We board the bus and head off to the hotel, where Niall and I get changed, then head outside to walk around the city. The rain was coming down pretty hard, so I was thankful that I put on a raincoat and grabbed an umbrella. Niall ducked his head under my umbrella as we both looked around the city. I was almost 7:00, so it was pretty dark, and the whole city was lit up.
We decided to get something to eat, so we found a cute little French restaurant not too far from the hotel.
The restaurant was super fancy, and French music played in the background.
"Bonjour, bienvenue, puis-je prendre votre commande?" Says the waiter as we take a seat.
I look at Niall, hoping he'd understood what that meant.
"Oui, pour commencer, nous aurons tous les deux un peu de vin." Niall responds fluently. The waiter nods and walks away.
"Holy shit, what the hell did you two just say?" I ask, my eyes widened.
"He asked if he could take our order and I said we'll both start off with some wine." Niall responds.
I nod my head, still extremely impressed. "I had no idea you could speak French."
He smiles. "There's a lot about me you don't know." He says in a jokingly-arrogant voice.
I laugh, then the wine is served in front of us.
"Et à manger?" The waiter asks.
"Avez-vous des... hamburgers?" Niall asks, giggling.
The waiter nods.
"Deux hamburgers, se il vous plaît."
The waiter nods again, then walks away.
"I ordered you a burger."
"I was able to translate 'hamburger,' thanks though." I tease, taking a sip of my wine.
We both discuss the rest of the European leg of the tour. After Europe, we head to North America, then South America. Then the Middle East, and then it's over. I didn't want this to end though, it's been so amazing. I don't want to stop traveling the world.
The waiter comes back, placing the hamburgers in front of us.
"Voici vos... et les hamburgers. Profitez." He says.
"Merci." Niall responds, taking a bite. The burgers were pretty good. But at the same time, they tasted like every other burger I've had in my life.
We finished our burgers and our wine, so we ordered another glass. I ordered some desert called macarons, which I've heard of before, but never tried. They're all over the place in New York, but why not try some authentic French ones?
After eating, Niall offered to pay the bill, then we continued walking around. The rain was really coming down hard now. It felt like I was walking right into a shower.
By now, it was almost 9, but we still really wanted to see the Eiffel Tower, so Niall pulled up directions on his phone.
"It's not too far. Follow me." He took my hand and led me down the street. His expression was very serious as he guided us around the city. By now, I could see the point of the tower, so I knew we were almost there. After a few more cuts and turns, we were there, standing in front of it.
"Wow." I whisper, the rain pounding against my face. I probably looked so gross right now. Niall, however, the rain only made him look better, if that was even possible.
We walked closer to it, both of us amazed by the beauty.
Niall turns to face me, then pulls me close.
"I love you." He whispers against my lips.
I smile. "I love you too."
Then we're both kissing, right in front of the Eiffel Tower, in the pouring rain. I honestly don't think there was any way to possibly make this more romantic. We continued to kiss, smiling and giggling into it like the children we are. One of my hands was around his neck as the other held the umbrella above our heads, and his were around my waist, and we continued to make-out in the rain. I was enjoying every second of it, at this point, not giving a damn what I looked like. He made me feel secure and safe, and even if I felt disgusting, he somehow made me forget about that for a bit.
We eventually pulled away, both of us out of breath and staring into each others eyes.
"That was our first time saying 'I love you.'" He whispered.
I nodded, biting my lip. "Yeah it was."
Then our lips reconnected. The rain continued to pour, and that was all that I could think about right now. Us. Just us, together, in Paris, kissing in the rain. That was all that was important, and nothing else. This moment was the most perfect moment, and nothing could ruin that. Nothing.
