Chapter 91

Quick explanation to those who haven't read da manga: Hawks is a Double Double agent. He's working for the heroes but pretending to betray them so that he can get info out of the LoV but in reality he's betraying LoV and working for the heroes.

That book he gave to the heroes: its a book with a secret code inside. It tells that the LoV is planning to attack soon.

Yoko POV:

One week later.

"Teamwork is one of the most important steps to learn." Edgeshot said. "By yourself, you might not be able to complete a task, but together, you will overcome many challenges, hence why I formed The Lurkers. From here on out, we will be training you to work as a team, so that when we actually encounter a villain, you can use the skill to quickly apprehend them."

"Yes sir!" we chorused.

"Great. Today, we'll all be patrolling together, so don't lag behind." Edgeshot sped off, Kamui Woods swinging after him and Mt. Lady running to catch up.

Ibara used her hair to propel herself forward. Electricity crackled around Denki as he raced forward. Sero swung from building to building Spider-Man style. I floated up into the air and sped after my mentors. Mineta simply ran.

Suddenly, maniac laughter echoed down the street, and a huge, buff monster stampeded out of a mall, a bag of money slung over his shoulder.

Long tendrils of wood curled off Kamui Woods's hand and wrapped around the villain. Mt. Lady enlarged her size and secured the villain before it could escape. With a swift shhk, Edgeshot effortlessly used one of his thinned limbs to knock the monster out.

"Teamwork." Edge said. "This was a example. From now on, you will do the same."

"Agh, so tired...." Sero groaned.

"I think my back's  broken." I coughed.

"Whee-hey-hee~" Denki said.

"Well, see you guys later!" I waved. I started to go onto a different bus (I planned to stop by the manga shop before heading back to the dorms) when my phone rang.

I quickly answered the call as I sat down. "Hello?"

"Yoko!" Fuyumi's voice drafted out. "I forgot to tell you, but today, Dad's bringing his interns home for dinner! I was wondering if you would like to invite your friends, too?"

"Oh, really?" I said, surprised. "I would, but I just got on a bus."

"Oh." Fuyumi said. "Well, next time! Anyways, you better get home quick, Dad and his interns are almost here."

"'Kay. I'll see you soon." I hummed, and hung up. Guess my mangas will have to wait, I was going to meet Deku and Bakugou today.

Several minutes later, I hopped off the bus and started to make my way towards my house. I was just passing the bank when a huge explosion set off and blew dust everywhere.

The nearby citizens screamed and ran backward, trying to avoid the group of villains that had just made their way out of the smoking bank, lugging money.

"A HERO!" the citizens yelled. "ARE THERE NO HEROES ON PATROL?"

The leader of the group smiled evilly. "No one to stop us now!"

I forced myself to move. Technically, I had my hero license, so I could fight just until a pro came. I picked up a small rock and chucked it at the leader, making him look my way.

"HEY!" I yelled. 

"Huh? A kid?" the leader snorted.

I crossed my arms, sticking my lower lip out. "I'm not a kid! I'm a hero-in-training!"

"Why are you pretending to be a hero? You'll never be able to take us on, one-to-one." the leader taunted. From behind him, his comrades laughed and activated their quirks.

"I bet I could take you on," I said, "but I won't."

"Why not? Too chicken?" the leader made small chicken noises.

I was tempted to knock them out, but I kept my cool. I could see the citizens frantically finding a pro hero. I just had to keep talking until they came.

"Robbing banks are so cliche." I rolled my eyes. "Are you guys even trying to be evil?"

The leader's  face went red. "Watch yer mouth, girlie. Or else--"

"Or else what, your going to hit me with that puny gun of yours?" I nodded to the weapon he was holding. I was actually terrified, but I wasn't going to show it.

The leader bared his teeth. "Thats it. Comrades, kill her--"

"NOT ON MY WATCH!" A familiar voice yelled.

Crash!

A huge foot slammed down and crushed the villains flat. Mt. Lady grinned. "Thats what you get for messing with my intern!"

"Lady-senpai!" I exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, after you guys left, Edge sent me to patrol this area, so here I am!" Lady winked.

"Thank you for coming!" I bowed. "But I really have to go, before my sister kills me!"

Lady laughed. "Sure, run along. See you next time!"

I bowed once more and ran off,looking forward to dinner with my classmates.
