A/N:
Short update while I get out of writers block. So sorry it's too short.

It has been a couple of days since Chris and I went to Silas' estate. I haven't caught dad at home yet to let him know that I'm spending time with in the coming week. It's like he's avoiding me.
"Sage, honey. Your dad just called." Amanda said as soon as I surfaced from the pool. "He will be going on a business trip for two weeks."
"Okay. When he calls again, please tell him that I'm spending time with Silas next week." I said as Chris came out to the backyard.
"Don't worry, Amanda. I'm going with her." Chris smiled.
"I don't think it's a good idea, sweetheart." Amanda looked at me with so much worry.
"Silas is my biological father. I want to get to know him." I demanded.
"Maybe we should ask your dad first." She bit her lip as she looked at me then at Chris then back at me.
"No. I can make my own decision." I sighed as I got out of the pool.
"But sweetheart..." Amanda sighed, "Just promise me you'll come back in one piece." All I could do was smile at her before grabbing my towel.

"Sage, sweetie, you came." Silas hugged me. "Christopher." He gave him a nod and gestured for us to come inside.
"Where exactly are we?' Chris asked as he looked around. I giggled as I made my way to the living room.
"Welcome to Hell." I said as I sat down.
"Wait... What?" Chris started to panic.
"Now, now, little girl. Don't scare your mate." Silas chuckled.
"I'm sorry." I laughed. "Sweetheart," I looked at Chris, "We're in the underworld but not in Hell. Time here moves differently. It might feel like we will be here for a month but in our world we will only be gone for a day or so."
"I think I need to sit." Chris looked at me looking pale and I immediately got up and helped him to the couch.
"Chris, you'll be fine." Silas said as he handed him a glass of water. I looked at Silas with so much worry, "He will be alright. Just wait til the wards take effect and he will be back to his normal self."
"Wards?" I asked as I tilted my head.
"Yeah. It's my fault for not putting them up before you guys got here." He took a deep, shaky, breath. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay, papa." I giggled. I looked over at Chris who now has his eyes closed. "You'll be alright soon."
"Sage, I'd like to show you something real quick." Silas gestured for me to follow him.
"I'll be right back." I whispered to Chris and he nodded.
Silas and I headed down to the art room and sat me on one of the bar stools. "Sage, I need to teach you how to travel back and forth from your world to this." He said as he paced. "I need to make sure that you, Chris and André have somewhere to escape when things go south."
"What do you mean, go south?" I asked.
"Richard has gone to the Council and wants to put you on a protective watch." Silas explained.
"I... I don't follow." Something inside me started to react and panic has been bubbling.
"Richard doesn't want you to see André until they get rid of me is the easiest way to explain it." he sighed.
"But, papa... I..." I growled.
"Stay put, little one. That's why I wanted to get you and Chris here so I can teach you how to get here without my help." Silas smiled.
"Okay... But Let me tend to Chris first." I got up from my seat and walked back to the living room where Chris was now finally sitting and looking normal.
"I'm feeling okay." He smiled.
"You sure?" I asked as I sat beside him.
He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to him, "Yes." he smiled.
"You guys are really in love." Silas said as he entered the living room, "You guys relax. Make yourself at home. I have to run an errand real quick." Silas smiled and turned around to leave.
"Papa..." I got up and ran up to him and hugged him.
"Yes, child?" He rubbed my hand and looked back.
"Thank you." I pulled away and he turned around to face me.
"For what?" he smiled as he leveled with me.
"For stepping up and letting me get to know you." I smiled.
"No need to thank me. I'm your father, I will do anything to keep you safe." he leaned in and kissed the top of my head, "Go and relax, I'll be back shortly." he ruffled my hair before turning around and walking off, disappearing into thin air.
"I still need to get used to that." I chuckled as I walked back to the couch. After a few hours, I decided to take Chris on a tour of Silas' house. It's not much but it feels more like home than the one with my dad.
Chris stopped me in the hallway and said, "You're happy here." he smiled.
"I actually am." I smiled back at him. "It's weird, but I also feel safer here."
"Is it because of all the secrets your dad kept from you?" he asked and I nodded. "I understand where you're coming from, but I think Richard deserves to speak about his truth before you decide to cut him off."
Shit... Chris has a point. But what if dad will just keep lying to me? He has been my entire life, why would I let him explain himself now? I sighed and shook my head, "You're right, I'm giving him one last chance to redeem himself. I'm doing this for my peace of mind. But this is his last chance." I turned around and started walking towards the direction of the art room.
