3rd POV Shepards room.

Shepard sat in her room with lady benezia sitting in front. both contemplating in silence. both unable to come up with something to say. Eventually, benezia broke the silence.

"so, commander. I take it this invite wasn't for a friendly chat." She said before Shepard's green eyes opened and locked with hers. "no..." Shepard stated, her voice quiet like a whisper.

benezia seemed confused as to why the commander was so quiet. her reputation made it seem she was quite over the top and loud. "so...what is it about?"

Shepard remained quiet. unable to bring her voice up before finally letting out a sigh. "Matriarch benezia. You are a mother and have lived centuries. I need some... advice."

this caught benezia off guard and quickly she replied. "you're asking me? after what I did, I hardly count as someone for advice." which caused Shepard to shake her head.

"you weren't in control. besides, right now I could use all the help I can get." Shepard groaned as she turned away from the Matriarch.

"very well... what is it you need?" benezia asked still perplexed but willing to help. Slowly Shepard turned to face her. "Despite you asari's myth of Kaine being some war god. He is just a teen. How he ended up in your scriptures, I don't know. but I am starting to feel strange around him."

"How strange, exactly? benezia asked as she leaned forward. "sort of... caring. like overly caring. I feel fear when Kaine rushes head-on into battle. When he killed and shrugged it off. I felt discomfort. And after what the Rachni queen said, I can't stop thinking about it. " Shepard confessed, her mind racing as she tried to comprehend her feelings.

"ah, I get it. you are feeling maternal. you are feeling like a mother to Kaine."benezia answered before leaning back in her chair. "yes, it can be... difficult at first. but it is normal."

Shepard however didn't seem convinced. "but why? I care for my crew but why do I care so much for Kaine?" this caused benezia to sigh. "has he ever referred to you as his mother or any other terms?"

"once, but he was joking. I think." Shepard sighed as she placed a hand on her face.

Benezia grinned slightly before speaking. "well..." but before she could speak, the ship rumbled.  "what is that?"

suddenly, Joker's voice spoke over her omnitool. "uh, commander. Wrex and Kaine are having a... disagreement in the hanger."

Meanwhile, in the cargo hold, Kaine and wrex were duking it out. both trading powerful blows as the two crashed into a few crates.

Ashely, Kaiden and Tali were all watching from the side. unable to get between the two behemoths, they could only watch.

"what have you done!?" Wrex shouted as swung his head down upon Kaine's. Kaine was sent stumbling back but retaliated with his fist. Sending it right into wrex's chin. "I did what was right."

Wrex bellowed before rushing at Kaine as Kaine ran to meet him. The two slammed into each other, hands locked in an attempt to push back the other.

Suddenly, Kaine let out a trembling roar before letting go and tackling Wrex into Mako. Tossing wrex across the room before jumping and slamming his fist down upon wrex's shell. A sickening crack was heard before another roar.

Wrex stumbled back, orange blood dripped from a crack in his head crest. "ugh, guess you really would be right on tachunka." with one final groan, Wrex collapsed unconscious.
