As a small way to celebrate N7 day here are a few short stories of Kaine and the Normandy crew and other characters.
When Kaine Saved Tali.
Tali POV
The geth and Husks rushed towards us as we fled the battle. "Joker, get the Normandy ready!" Jane shouted as we ducked and weaved. "Already on it Commander," Joker replied with the roar of the Normandy's engines jolted to life.
I could barely make out the Silhouette of the Normandy in the distance. As it soared towards us. Suddenly, I turned to see a bullet heading my way. As it was about to hit Kaine shoved me out aside taking the round to the chest. I barely had time to comprehend it before Kaine picked me up and threw me aboard the Normandy. I turned to see him still running as Shepard held a hand out to him. "Kaine Hurry!" We shouted as Kaine leapt into the air.
Garrus and Shepard caught his arms and heaved him into the ship. Just as we blasted off the planet. Everyone all sat down to catch their breath as Joker eased the ship into autopilot.
"Kaine!" I shouted as I finally realized what had happened. I rushed over to him only to see him get back up and his wounds heal. I caught a glimpse of his eyes and stood in shock. They were lifeless and cold. With no emotion behind them. Then as quickly as they appeared they vanished. As Kaine sat back down.
"Hey tali, you ok?" Kaine asked as I sat beside him. "Yeah, thanks for the save. " I replied as I rested my head on his shoulder. "No problem, Tali," Kaine answered before sitting in silence. I sighed before resting my eyes. We sat together before finally going to sleep.

Garrus and Kaine Practising their shooting skills.
Garrus POV
I got to admit, the kids got incredible skills. At least in the close quarter's aspect. He is lacking in the skills of shooting. "You need to relax, your too stiff. The recoil of the gun is throwing off your aim," I advised as Kaine tried another shot.
"Why can't I just use my melee weapons? Not like I can't close the distance. " Kaine answered back. while reloading a sniper. "Yeah, but what if your enemy has a hostage. You won't be able to get close," I replied while adjusting his stance.
"right, I forgot we still have other enemies alongside the reapers," I answered before firing another shot. This time hitting its target dead on.

Dr Chakwas Scolding Kaine for being reckless.
Kaine POV
I had just finished a mission and got hit with a rocket to the face. Let's just say, dr chakwas was not impressed.
"You idiot, I don't care if you have Super regeneration, you can't keep being reckless." Dr Chakwas angrily scolded me as she bandaged my wounds. "but I feel fine, OW!" I grumbled before Dr Chakwas pulled one of the bandages tightly.
"well, you won't feel fine when Shepard what you did." Chakwas angrily grumbled. "Relax, she won't know about it" I replied casually.
"Won't know about what?" Shepard snarled as she stormed through the doors.
"um, I got to go," I whispered before bolting with Shepard hot on my tail.
"YOU GET BACK HERE! WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU, I'M GONNA....!"
