2 years later."Where is he with my shoes?" I say frantically as I pace up and down my room. I'm wrapped in a silk robe and my makeup and hair are done.
"He should be on his way," Belle tells me from the couch.
She's dressed in a silk emerald green mid-thigh long dress. Her blonde hair is curled and pinned on one side.
I spam a few more texts to Gio and then the door bursts open. Gio is holding my heels in his hand and his shirt is slightly unbuttoned. I run up to him grabbing my heels.
"Took you long enough."
"Well, not my fault you told me the sparkly pair of heels like you don't have thirty of those," he remarks. I narrow my eyes at him before staring down at my closed-toed heels with sparkles on the side. I look up from my heels smiling before closing the door behind him.
My stomach then starts feeling fuzzy. "I'm so nervous."
"Why?" Gio asks taking a seat next to Belle. "You're just marrying my best friend."
"You say that like it's nothing. You're not the one walking down the aisle and getting married." Gio makes your right face.
My nerves have been going crazy all day. Nearly made me throw up at least three times. Belle has had to run with me to the bathroom. All false alarms. Can't believe I'm this nervous.
I place the heels down on the vanity and look at my dress that's hanging on a rack. "Belle?" Belle stands up from the couch already knowing I need help.
Gio grabs the pillow next to him covering his face. Belle takes down the dress and zips it open. I peel off the robe and step into the dress with Belle's help.
My nerves start kicking in again randomly. I need a distraction as Belle zips me in. "Gio, distract me."
He slowly pulls away from the pillow from his face making me stop him. "Wait. I want a reaction when it's done," I tell him. He keeps his face covered
groaning into the pillow."Uh," he begins, "I'm talking to Rose again." Belle and I turn around freezing looking at Gio who cant see us. We then look at each other shrugging.
"How's that going?" Belle's first to ask.
"It's nice honestly. Feels like old times minus the relationship stuff."
Rose is Gio's ex-girlfriend. They broke up two years ago but officially stopped talking almost a year ago. It was hard for Gio to do because he had a lot of love-care for her. But he thought it would've been best due to his past and present life. I understand where he's coming from but Rose is an understandable person though, at least from the conversation we've had.
"Do you miss her?" I ask him. Gio then falls quiet. That answers my question.
"I just wish it wasn't this way. Wish I didn't grow into the life I did because maybe it would've been easier. But I can't choose that." I smile sadly to myself before turning back and facing the mirror.
I stare at myself for a little admiring the dress. Then I feel something tickle my throat. I try swallowing down the feeling but it won't go away. I clear my throat hoping that'll do something but nothing helps. "Belle," I mutter.
