FLYER

~CONTINUATION

•THE NEXT DAY•

Nagising ako sa ingay ng bell ni Mrs. Sapphire. Ang bell yung ginagamit niyang alarm clock. I stretch my sore muscles and get up. I still want to rest. My arms were like jelly that i couldn't move but i should be use to it since i can see myself doing the same work forever.

"Good morning Ate Nix" Diana greeted me as we all get down and eat our not-so-delicious breakfast. Ang almusal namin ngayon ay sopas at isang pirasong tinapay. Masaya naman ako kahit ganto lang yung binibigay samin at least may pagkain kami.

After we had our breakfast, the other orphans—my age washed the dishes. Me and Diana left the orphanage and head to another mansion where we will do the laundry. As we were walking, i stepped on a flyer. I picked it up and the interesting information caught my attention.

"Our organization are recruiting teens who had talents in anything. Everything is free from clothes, food to shelter. If you're interested, come to this address at 8:30 pm." I read aloud. I show Diana the flyer and reads it too.

"This is an amazing opportunity Nana, we're good in chores, singing, dancing," i said. "And stealing." I whispered.

" Oo nga, pero di nga lang nila sinabi kung anong talent ba talaga ang hinahanap nila." She said as i nod.

Sign nato para sa magandang buhay. Tinago ko yung flyer sa bulsa ng skirt ko at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad papuntang trabaho. Nasa ibang mansion naman kami mag lalabada.

We cleaned and wash the things that are assigned to us. I was in charge of Laundry and Diana for hanging the clothes. It would make our work easier and faster.

Nung nilalabhan ko yung dress ng anak ng may ari ng mansion nagulat ako nang may biglang nalaglag na isang golden bracelet.

"This will worth folds of money if i sell this to the pawnshop." I mumbled as i quickly hid it between my little breasts.

I hurriedly finish washing and make sure no one sees it except for Diana. Diana already know I'm a thief.

Our work finished earlier than expected as we left the mansion. I bought two breads from the money i got from work and we ate it along the way. As we got near the orphanage, we clean ourselves making sure there's no crumbs of the bread.

"Oh ton matin es-tu sûr d'avoir fini ce que tu as lavé? (Oh ang aga niyo sigurado ba kayong tinapos niyo yung nilabhan niyo?)" Mrs. Sapphire said at tumango kami.

"Oui Madame Saphir," sabi ko.

It's already 5:50 in the afternoon and luckily i can have dinner tonight. When we climbed up the loft, i began to think of a plan for our escape later.

Mrs. Sapphire was busy gambling at the living room which I'll use it as our advantage to collect all of my saved treasure. I filled my backpack with the clothes me and Diana had. I secretly gave each orphans a money so they can buy themselves food— when they can.

Me and Diana are ready as we just have to wait until Mrs. Sapphire left or asleep. It's already 7:30 and everyone gone to bed after we had our dinner.

I watch Mrs. Sapphire putting on her red Jacket and left the orphanage, i heard she locked the door making sure no one can enter or leave but we're not going to use the door. We're going to escape through the window.

"Ready kana ba Nana?" I asked Nana as she nodded. Hinay hinay kong binuksan yung bintana para di magising yung iba.

"Ikaw na mauna" mahinang sabi ko kay Diana and she began to climb on the window and jumped. I took one last look of the others.

"Magkikita tayong lahat ulit" I mumbled and i jumped.

I landed on the hard ground and pull up the hood of my robe, so did Diana. We stole the robes from Mrs. Sapphire earlier when she's busy gambling.

I hold Diana's hand as i pull out the flyer again to double check the address. I fold it back as we head to the address. I was surprised that it brought us to the port.

As we're almost near the port, i can see people mostly my age are holding the same flyer as mine and waiting for someone. We joined them and waits.

•AFTER AN HOUR•

A man in suit with crow crane suddenly appeared in front of us.

"Looks like a lot of you have seen my flyer, sure ba kayo sa talento niyong maka pasok sa organization na ito? " He said. In fairness marunong siyang magtagalog, pinoy bato? Or mix. Ewan

"Um tanong lang po, totoo ba ang sinasabi sa flyer na libre ang pagkain, damit at tirahan pag naka pasa sa qualifications? At ano pong talento o skill yung hinahanap niyo po? " I said as the people in front of me move, turning at me as the man chuckles.

"You'll find out when we get there" He said and began to walk towards a ship. Anlaki ng barko na pang mayaman lang talaga. Jusko po na eexcite akong sumakay dito.

"Ang ganda namn nito Ate Nix" Diana said in amusement.

"Oo nga, sa wakas makakasakay narin tayo sa barko na makikita lang natin sa picture" i replied as we excitedly boarded the ship. We're amazed by how magnificent the interior of the ship is.

Sinundan namin yung lalaking may baston at dinala niya kami sa dining area kung saan makikita mo ang iba't ibang klase ng pagkain.

"Nasa langit naba tayo Nana?" Sabi ko at tumawa namn yung isang lalaking kasama ni manong na may baston.

"Habang bumabyahe tayo, maari kayong kumain sa-" The man in crane didn't finish his words when he caught us filling our mouths with foods from the table.

Everyone was looking at us as we then chew the food and swallowed hard.

"Sorry po" I said nervously as he just closes his eyes and sigh.

"As i was saying, feel free to eat this foods and after, you can rest on the ship's quarters which located that way." he said and pointed the stairs leading to the second floor.
