Today is my birthday again, Dr.Baizhu said that I can make a birthday wish.

I don't remember what my last wish was. It should have come true, right?

It's hard to think of something to wish for.

I don't want anything big, or many things. As long as it's something I can touch, that's fine.

I want to feed the finches with you.

I have already prepared the seeds.

The letter was given to him by Katherine, and it came with a few grains of wheat. He forgot that today was Qiqi's birthday, and after reading through her letter, he wasn't going to make her wait long. She would probably be nearby the field where she usually picked herbs, Aether thought to himself. Not wanting to waste any time, he began his journey to the fields.

The trip to the field was quite the exhausting one, as it was quite a ways away from Liyue Harbor, but he wasn't going to let that stop him. After arriving there, he didn't see her. Thinking that she was probably on her way here, he decided to just lay down on the grass, still quite worn down after the journey. As he was laying down, he gave some thought as to what he could give her for her birthday. He knew she only wanted to feed the finches with him, but he couldn't help but feel that he could give her more.

He suddenly heard someone walking towards him, but he knew who it was.

"Hello?"

"Hello Qiqi."

"Are you okay? I thought someone was lying on the grass and needed help, but it was just you."

"I'm fine, don't worry."

"Can you get up? Here, take my hand."

"Thank you. Also what's that on your other hand?"

"It's a herb basket. I'm gathering some herbs."

"Hey, let me help."

"Um, okay. I'll pick up the herbs, you can pick up this basket."

They spent some time collecting herbs, and after a while Aether saw a bunch of finches in the distance. Remember her birthday wish, he mentioned it to her.

"Hey Qiqi, there's a bunch of finches over there. Do you want to try and feed them?"

Qiqi silently nodded.

"Okay then, let's go!"

Aether grabbed the wheat that he kept and gave a handful to Qiqi. He then told her to throw all of that towards the direction of the finches. She managed to throw them and the flinches began to eat all of them. Her expression didn't change, but he could tell that she was happy.

"Say Qiqi, do you have any other wishes for your birthday?"

"No, I don't."

"Give it some thought. It's your birthday, so you can ask for anything."

"Okay."

Qiqi suddenly went silent, but he could tell that she was giving it a lot of thought. After a long while, she grabbed Aether's right hand and spoke her wish.

"I wish Aether would stay safe on his travels and can quickly find his sister."

Once he heard that, he was surprised that is her wish. But he felt happy that she is wishing for him, and not for herself. Her face was still expressionless, but he knew that was what she truly wants.

"Alright then. I'll make sure your wish comes true."
