Morning came to Liyue as honey-gold rays of sunlight crept between the gaps of the blinds of his room. Normally, he would immediately get up and start his day, something however, would be preventing him from wanting to get up. As the reason for his happiness curled up next to him, still in a blissful state of sleep.
He looked at Hu Tao, who was using his chest as a pillow, most likely comforted by the sound of his heartbeat. Somewhere in the night, she must've moved in her sleep, as her arms were draped around his body.
He placed a hand on her hair, gently playing with the long strands. It was soft, and something about it was really entrancing. He played with it for a little while longer, before realizing that the two of them still had a long day ahead of them.
With a soft voice, he tried to wake her up.
"Hu Tao. It's time to wake up."
She stirred in response, but instead of getting up, he could feel the grip she had on her body getting stronger.
"Just 10 more minutes, okay...?" She mumbled.
She was probably still half asleep, as she isn't showing any signs of being awake. He knew that they still had a long day ahead of them, yet something inside him still doesn't want to get up. And so, he decided to embrace his desires.
"Perhaps 10 more minutes wouldn't hurt." He said, as he gently embraced her.
