Future (Aemona)

2 fics in only a few hours after my last post?! That's f*cking crazy! Well, I guess i shouldn't be surprised since both are very dusty drafts.

Reading the future has always been very easy for her. She's very experienced with astrology readings, and she's always been able to perform them with extremely accurate results.
  
   
So what was special about him?

  
He calls himself a traveler from another world, and yet there was something special about him, but she couldn't put a finger on what it was. He had asked him for a reading, and so she did. And yet, she couldn't see anything. This could lead to many possibilities, it could mean that he had a future so bleak even she couldn't dare see it herself. Or his future was nothing but a blank sheet. Undecided, yet limitless.

Mona was intrigued. Very intrigued. Never in her life has she seen someone like him. Someone whose future can go about so many ways, almost infinite. She wanted to know how and why he was so special. She offered to accompany him through his journey.
 
He wasn't so sure about this, but she managed to pursue him into letting her be apart of his journey. She wasn't interested in the journey itself, she was only interested in the Traveler. Aether, as he prefers to be called.

What she didn't expect, was to learn so many things that she had never seen before. Places that would rival the beauty of the stars, and people that live such mundane lives, yet they all have such bright futures ahead of them. Conflicts that she could've never expected, and secrets of this world that not even she knew.

However, the most intriguing part about his whole journey, is himself.
It has been nothing short of treacherous, and despite everything that he's been through, he still doesn't seem to be anywhere close to his goal. Despite this, he still finds time to help his friends, nations, nearly everything. No matter what, if he can help, he will do his damned hardest to help.

Every step of the journey, she will discover something new about him, which only fuels her fascination further. He considers her a great friend, and so does she.

Despite this, she finds herself feeling an odd sense of longing... Longing for something more...

Days go by rather quickly, and she finds herself spending all of her days with him. It's as if he is now a part of her future now. Every second that she spends with him becomes the most euphoric moment of her life. It doesn't take long for her to find out what that longing feeling was. It's the feelings that she's developed for him. She's had firsthand experience with this sort of thing, with a few of her clients being relationship related problems. However, she's never had feelings of her own. Feelings towards the same traveler that she has been with nearly every second of the journey.

More days go by, and she can't take this anymore. She's going to tell him about her feelings.

The plan was simple, just lay it all bare. A look of confusion plastered his face as she asked him to meet her outside the Serenitea Pot somewhere. Despite that, he arrived just like she asked.

"So, why did you tell me to come here?"

She simply just said nothing, and told him to look at the night sky with her. After a moment of silence, she began to say her piece.

She laid it all bare to him. How intriguing he was when she met him. How much she's grown with him. How much she meant to him. How much she wanted him to be a part of her future. She kept on going and going, until she finally stopped.

Silence took another turn after, until she finally decided to get a good look at him. He was still staring at the sky, only a beautiful smile was decorating his face. After a little while, he looked at her, and said,

"I'm glad you feel the same way. I want you to be my future as well."

Relief began to flood her, as she slowly inched her way closer to him. In response, he circled his arms around her. The two just enjoyed each others warmth under the night sky.
 

The two now shared a future. Still uncertain, yet forever limitless.
