Not Your Fault (Yu Ijin x OC Fanfic)

Part 1 : Feeling

"Attention everyone~ He will be joining us starting today" the teacher was introducing a new student for class 3-2.

"It is nice to meet you, I am Yu Ijin" the new student introduced himself politely.

"He was living abroad for a long time due to personal reasons, so you should all help him adjust to his new life" the teacher was explaining Yu Ijin situation before arranging him to sit on the empty seat beside Park Yungchan.

When Ijin walked towards his assigned seat, Lee Jaehyung, who was famous in their class for being mean, put out his leg, intending to trip Ijin when he passed him.

But it's not going in the direction that he wanted it to as Ijin stops immediately before he could bump on Jaehyung's foot and that act makes him getting more irritated with the new transfer student.

"Stop it Jaehyung" a soft voice suddenly came from the direction behind them.

She was the school top beauty, but she got many rumours surrounding her for being dangerous, her name is Lee Hana. As her name sounds, she's beautiful like flowers but no one dares to go near or mess with her, even though she never bullied or messed with anyone.

The rumour starts when someone says that she beat the guy who picked a fight with her because his confession got rejected by her and the guy ended up hospitalized for almost a month.

She's also expressionless most of the time and doesn't talk much, so she got the nickname of Ice Queen as she's cold and never really talks with anybody.

"Cih, he's fuckin' scared, he got rescued by a girl, he ain't shit" Jaehyung retrieved his feet back after getting the warning from Hana. Truthfully, he's a little scared of her because of all the rumours, but never really shown it.

As Hana's seat was in front of Yungchan, she naturally would lock eyes with Ijin that's coming over, they just stared at each other before Ijin walked past to take his seat.

*beat**beat*

'What's wrong with my heart today?' Hana put her hand on her repeatedly beating heart since the first time she saw Ijin walk in.

'It's unfamiliar but not uncomfortable' that unfamiliar feeling for Hana makes her mind get occupied all the time through the lecture until the break time.

"Ah, it's the break time. Do you want to go buy some lunch?" Yungchan invited Ijin to go grab lunch together but before they could go to buy some lunch, someone was tapping on his desk.

"I'm sorry to disturb your conversation, but do you mind lending me some of your break time?" Hana glances in Ijin's direction and receives a stare from him while she just looks at him as expressionless as he's looking at her.

"H-Hana?!" Yungchan was caught off guard when the rumor Ice Queen that never really interacts with anyone suddenly asks for something.

"Yes, I'm Hana" Hana stated the obvious when she heard Yungchan yelling out her name. Seeing how it's going, Yungchan quietly retreats from the staring contest between Hana and Ijin.

"Let me introduce myself. I'm Lee Hana, and I want to have a private conversation with you, so would you mind to lend me some of your time?" Hana is still waiting for Ijin's answer when he still hasn't given any response to her.

"Okay" Ijin stands up from his seat and with that, both of them walk towards the direction that Hana leads.

'Her movements are too silent for a normal person' Ijin who walks behind Hana, silently checking for all her suspicious movements.

"You don't have to be so on guard with me, I just simply want to have a conversation with you" Hana looks back to Ijin before she opens up a door.

When the door opens, it shows the scenery of the city from the school rooftop.

"This is my favorite spot, I always come here when I want to have a peaceful time" Hana walks towards the rooftop fence while Ijin just follows her quietly behind.

"It's my secret spot, no one actually dares to come up here as there's one student who had once spotted me here and immediately ran away. From there, I heard that they already mark this place as a forbidden place to go" Hana chuckled when she remembered that moment again.

"Well, you must actually think why you should even hear unrelated things like this" Hana turns around to face Ijin.

"The reason why I called you was because I think I'm attracted to you" Hana stared directly at Ijin while Ijin got kind of flustered with this conversation.

"...." Ijin seems like he doesn't know what to say when he gets a confession immediately on his first day of school.

"I think that I'm attracted to you" Hana says it again slowly and clearly.

"But I don't know what kind of attraction this is. Am I attracted to you romantically or..." before Hana states her last sentence, her eyes turn dangerously like a hunter who's watching her prey, and that look was something that Ijin has gotten really familiar with.

"Rivally" Hana finishes her sentence while still looking at Ijin with a look that could kill a person.

Ijin also turned on guard and looked carefully at Hana movement, seeing when she would start attacking.

Hana's right hand reaches out to Ijin which alerts him and his left hand immediately tries to snap her hand but before it all could happen, Hana swiftly retracts her hand before Ijin could grasp it.

"Ah, I'm sorry, did I startle you? I just want to reach the storage behind you" when Hana said that, Ijin looked behind him to see that there's actually a pink storage and seems like a mini pink refrigerator.

Hana walks towards the storage and opens it up. Inside there's many kinds of bread and she picks some up, then she moves on to the refrigerator that's filled up with banana milk.

"This is my favourite food and drink. If you like it, you can just take as much as you want" She handed Ijin a melon bread and banana milk.

"Hope it could pay the time that I take from you. See you later then" Hana expression turns softly and there's a smile displayed on her pretty face before she walk out from the rooftop.

Ijin just stares at her even until she's already gone from the view, he's still staring in that direction. He unconsciously let out a chuckle when he recalled Hana's soft expression earlier.

'Is the rumour about her being an expressionless person valid?' Ijin taught after the short time that he just spend with Hana, he could tell that she had many expression inside her.

He then also walked back to the classroom while still holding the bread and milk that Hana gave to him earlier.

"Ijin" Yungchan called out to him when he spotted Ijin on the classroom door.

"Oh? is that your lunch?" Yungchan sees the bread and milk that Ijin carried with him.

"Ah, I received it" Ijin took a seat and looked in Hana's direction.

"Who did you get it from? Is it from a girl?" Yungchan tries to tease him.

"It is" Ijin still looked at Hana's direction and didn't take his eyes off her back.

"Wow, did you already get a confession on your first day? Well it's not really that surprising, with your looks obviously many people would like you" Yungchan nods to himself as he feels that he's right for stating the fact.

'Like?' Ijin and Hana both thought inside their hearts.

'So this is the feeling of liking someone' Hana nodded to herself and there seemed like a determination inside her eyes.

'I like Ijin' Hana finally know the meaning of her beating heart and it seems like she can't contain her happiness that's coming when she realises her feeling, as there's a large smile displaying on her face that makes the students who sit near her startled with the rare sight.
