Not Your Fault (Yu Ijin x OC Fanfic)

Part 13 : Sacrifice

Hana slowly opened up her closed eyes when she couldn't feel the gunshot. However, her position was not like how she was at the last moment, where she used her own body to shield Ijin from the gun.

Instead, it was Ijin who had embraced her from behind to shield her from receiving the bullet after he noticed the purpose of her sudden act.

"Ijin?" Hana tears flow out when she thinks Ijin had been injured from the bullet as she sees the position they are in, where Ijin would be the one to receive the gunshot. But she stopped her thinking when the person behind her yelled out.

"What do you think you're doing?!" Ijin was mad at Hana when he thought back to the moment she had tried to sacrifice herself to protect him.

Hana immediately turned to look at Ijin who was glaring at her and she quickly hugged him tightly.

"You are also the same" Hana broke out in tears as she pointed out how Ijin had also sacrificed himself to protect her.

Then, both of them just realized that if they're fine, who's the person that shoots the gunfire?

They turn to look at Mr.Lee that was already lying lifeless on the floor after he got shot by his own secretary.

"I'm sorry, I can't stand it anymore" Jung Woon who had been quietly standing beside the entrance, had shot Mr.Lee after he had snapped himself out of the shocked state he was in from the news about the Madam death.

"The madam had always been the one to support my family, but after the madam went to get her medical treatment, Mr.Lee had use my own family to threaten me" Jung Woon break out in tears when he remember to the time Mr.Lee almost killed his daughter because he disregard the order to carry out Hana punishment.

"To think that she had passed away…" Jung Woon walked towards Hana's direction and kneel beside her.

"I'm sorry young miss, I should have insisted on checking Madam's condition when Mr.Lee had prevented me from going this last two years" Jung Woon was feeling so frustrated for the past two years.

"He had said that Madam was receiving a secluded treatment because her health has deteriorated, and he had also given Madam record accordingly so I just stayed put, to not make the young miss worry too" Jung Woon looked down when he informed Hana. 

"You should have told me" Hana would be lying if she said that she didn't feel angry towards Jung Woon right now, but she also knows that he's doing it for her good sake.

Hana turns away from Jung Woon and places herself inside of Ijin embrace.

"I suddenly feel so tired" Hana said that while closing her eyes, she really feels so exhausted with her life and really wants to give up.

"You can take a rest for a while, I'll protect you by your side" Ijin was holding on to Hana tenderly and gently soothing her.

Hana feels really warmth inside of Ijin embrace right now as he had been patting her tenderly like how her mom used to do it to her when she was a child and it makes her slowly drive off to sleep in Ijin secure hold.

"I'll be taking her with me until you clean up all this mess" Ijin said to Jung Woon who was still kneeling beside them.

"Yes, I'll make sure to clean it all" Jung Woon quickly agreed to what Ijin had said.

"Here, this is my home address" Ijin took out his phone and showed Jung Woon the maps to his home.

"Can I add your contact number too?" Jung Woon asked Ijin.

Ijin simply nods and hands him his contact number before he moves to piggyback Hana who's already sound asleep to go back home with him.

"Thank you young man and please protect the young miss from now on" Jung Woon gives a deep bow when he sees both of them out.
