Not Your Fault (Yu Ijin x OC Fanfic)

Part 17 : Down

Hana left the room after she and Jung Woon finished their conversation. On her way back to the classroom, she ran across Ijin, who's having a conversation with both Yuna and Sukjoo in the corridor.

She peek her head from Ijin's back which caught the three people's attention.

"You're done?" Ijin looks at Hana gently, which was the complete opposite from when he gave the unbothered look to Sukjoo and Yuna before.

"Yeah, did I take long?" Hana looks up at Ijin as her height was only up to his chest and hugs him with a sweet smile, while Ijin shakes his head implying 'no' and pat her head gently.

Both Yuna and Sukjoo, who watched that scene, could only look at each other and clear their throats, still not getting used to what they're seeing right now, as they only heard about the news of this new couple from the students in the classroom today.

"Hana! How's your condition?" Yuna decides to bring back the couple's attention when they're already in their own world, completely ignoring the other people that's standing right infront of them.

"It's getting better" Hana replies to Yuna still with a smile on her face and it makes Yuna jaw drop from seeing the contrasting change of attitude, as she remember the day how Hana had always act cold towards her since the first time they met and how she can be so sweet like this right in front of her now.

'Is this the power of love?!' Yuna gasps and a second later, she decides to go back to the classroom after saying her farewell to Hana and Ijin, and try to recover herself from the shocked state she's having right now, with Sukjoo quietly following her from behind.

"What did you guys talk about?" Hana asks after they're left alone, and takes their time to walk back to the class.

"About that...I think we have to postpone our schedule to go to the arcade at another time" Ijin stops himself from his walk and turns to look at Hana which also makes her stop in her tracks and look back at him.

"I have a job I've got to do, I'm sorry, Hana..." Ijin held both of Hana's hand as he felt kind of guilty for canceling their plan later.

"It's okay Ijin, you don't need to say sorry. It must be an important job for you" Hana squeezed back Ijin hand while giving him a bright smile to reassure him that she's alright with his decision.

"Besides, we can go to the arcades anytime in the future. Also, I've just got a pocket money from Uncle Woon *giggle* so, later I could just go shopping with Dayun in the mart to buy some meat for the dinner together with your grandfather" Hana talks happily as if she's really unbothered by it but truthfully, it was her way to get rid of the disappointment she's feeling right now.

Hana just talks non-stop until they arrive at their classroom and go back to their seats and from there, Hana becomes completely silent without turning herself to look back at Ijin once in a while, like what she had done before in the morning class.

On the other hand, Ijin only silently stares at Hana's back. He didn't really think that Hana was feeling down right now, as it's his first time to be in a relationship, so he was feeling thankful when he heard that Hana doesn't get mad and be understanding with his sudden change of plan.

*ding**dong*

The school bell rang indicating the end of the class for today. Hana immediately springs up from her seat and looks back at Ijin with a smiling face.

"I'll go pick up Dayun, are you going to come home late? Ah, nevermind, don't worry I'll save some meat for you and remember to be careful on your job. See you later" Hana blabber quickly before she sprints out of the classroom without intending to hear Ijin reply.

"..." Ijin could only look at the classroom door direction, where Hana walked out just a second ago, while his classmates just looked at each other as they didn't know what to do with this strange atmosphere.

"Let's go" Ijin breaks the cold silence and turns to look at both Yuna and Sukjoo, indicating them to show the way to the bodyguard training.

While the other three who're left alone in the classroom gossip about the situation that occurred just now.

"Are they having a fight already?" Jaehyung was the first one to start their gossip chat.
"I don't think so" Yeongchan replied.

"I remember this morning they're planning to go to the arcade" Hyukjin asks while posing himself like a detective who's trying to solve a case.

"That's my point! Why did Ijin in the end go with Yuna and Sukjoo?" Jaehyung added on Hyukjin exclamation.

"IS THIS A LOVE RECTANGLE?!" Both Jaehyung and Hyukjin yell at the same time while looking at each other.

"Guys, calm down..." Yeongchan who was drag on into their gossip could only sweatdropped and in the end, the three of them spent so much time in the classroom just to gossip about the love between Hana-Ijin-Yuna-Sukjoo.

On the other side, Hana and Dayun were already inside the grocery mart looking for the ingredients that Dayun needed for their dinner.

"Unnie, what do you want for tomorrow-" Dayun just wanted to ask Hana what she wants for breakfast when she saw Hana standing there dazely while holding a spring onion.

"Unnie!" Dayun shouted in front of Hana to wake her from her daze.

"Y-Yes" Hana got startled by Dayun's loud voice and she immediately regained herself back to reality.

"Unnie, are you still worried about Oppa?" Dayun asks Hana while taking the spring onion from Hana's hand to place it back to it's place.

"Ah..." Hana had already told Dayun that Ijin was going to do a job in Yuna's company, while leaving out the part that they're originally going out to have some date in the arcade.

"Don't worry Unnie, Ijin Oppa will be alright" Dayun says gently as she tries to ease the 'worried Hana'.

"You're right, it's alright" Hana smiles back at Dayun and tries her best to forget the downhearted feeling inside her, to not ruin the moment between her and Dayun.

The two girls were enjoying their moment together, they went to have some desserts after the grocery shopping, and also went to buy some gifts for Dayun's grandfather before they went back home, as Hana felt uneasy to go meet the grandfather with an empty-hand.

Thanks to Dayun, the meeting between Hana and her grandfather was not awkward or hard at all, instead, their grandfather warmly accepted Hana into his small family and they happily spent their dinner together.
