Part 8 : Hang On

"Who the hell is that?" The man with the scar was confused when he saw Ijin standing there, glaring at them.

"Oppa! Run! It's too dangerous here!" Dayun yells out with tears rolling down her face. 

Ijin looks at Dayun's direction and his eyes widen up when he sees Hana was laying there in Dayun embrace with blood smearing on her clothes that he concluded she got it from a gunshot. 

At that time, something was crashing down inside of him when he saw how his little sister and the other two classmates were crying with Hana who just lay there without moving an inch. 

'Don't tell me...' Ijin was quite shocked and in disbelief with the scene that happened right in front of his eyes. He wanted to deny the thought that he had in his mind right now. 

"We're behind schedule, kill him first" the order that comes from the man with the scar snap Ijin out from his mind and without thinking much, he immediately rushes towards the two men's direction with a heavy killing intent. 

"Dayun, close your eyes" after Ijin gave that order to Dayun, he didn't restrict his movement anymore and just went to kill the two kidnappers. It happens so fast and brutal. 

After he make sure that the two men didn't have any breath left in them, he quickly rushed to Dayun's side. 

"You can open your eyes now" Ijin told Dayun and he gently brought Hana body in his own embrace. 

He quickly unwrapped the scarf on Hana's neck to use it to suppress the bleeding from the gunshot, but when her neck got fully exposed, the four of them were stunned by seeing the scar on her neck and Ijin stopped on his track for a moment too. 

Ijin quickly snapped out from the shock as he had to suppress the blood first before it came out even more. When he finishes on that task, he swiftly moves his finger to her neck to check on her pulse and moves on to her wrist to do the same thing. 

There was a silent tense between them as they're all nervous with the result. 

Ijin finally let out a relieved breath when he could finally detect a weak heartbeat that told Hana's still alive. 

"When will your team arrive?" Ijin, who's still on edge, looks at Sukjoo to acquire the answer. 

"They won't be that long, 5 minutes at most" Sukjoo replied to him, and now he knows who's the important person that Ijin implied at that time. 

Ijin nods his head and turns to look at Dayun to ask about her condition. 

"Are you okay?"
"I'm okay, how about Hana unnie?" Dayun asks while looking at Hana who's securely protected inside Ijin embrace. 

"She's...." Ijin just wants to say to Dayun that Hana is okay but he feels something warm is wetting his hand that's placed on Hana's back. 

'What's this?' Ijin moved Hana to check on her back and he could see that there's still blood coming out from her back and the position was not from the gunshot. 

"Did she get hurt anywhere else besides the one on her shoulder?" Ijin asks them while his hand goes to tear Hana's clothes but before that, he orders Sukjoo to shut his eyes. 

"No, the man just now say that he only knock her out and *gasp*" Yuna stops herself from explaining when she looks at the horrifying scar on Hana's back. 

"What happened?" Sukjoo, who can't see anything right now, tries to gain the answer from those who can see what's happening. 

"How can she have that wound?" Yuna asks in disbelief when she finally know the reason why Hana complexion was not good from the start. 

Ijin was also in disbelief when he saw the scar on Hana's back, he clenched his fist hard to try suppressing his anger. 

"Dayun, do you mind lending me your jacket?" Ijin asked with an indescribable emotion displayed on his face. Dayun nods and quickly hands her jacket to Ijin. 

"Thank you" Ijin smiles when he receives his little sister's jacket and wraps it on Hana's body. 

At that time, the rescue team finally comes and Ijin immediately carries Hana to the ambulance to let her quickly get the medical treatment. 

"Oppa, you should go to the hospital together with Hana Unnie" Dayun quickly pushed Ijin to also go inside the ambulance. 

"What about you?" Ijin turned back to look at Dayun. 

"I'll go with Yuna sunbaenim so quickly go get the treatment with Hana Unnie" Dayun rushed Ijin to quickly get into the ambulance to accompany Hana together to the hospital for medical treatment. 

Ijin nods at his little sister's order and turns to face Yuna. 

"Please take care of my little sister" Yuna nodded to Ijin's request before the ambulance went off to the hospital. 

"Please be safe big brother, Hana unnie" Dayun prayed for both of their safety before she go into Yuna's car to go to the hospital too. 

Inside the ambulance where both Ijin and Yuna's at, the man who's in charge of giving first-aid to the patient while on their way to the hospital was frozen in his place.

At first, when he wanted to check on Hana's injury by removing her jacket, his hand was suddenly grabbed by the other person who had an injury on his head. That man was giving him such a hard glare that it made him not dare to move any further. 

In the end, Ijin himself gives the first-aid treatment that Hana needs right now while the other person just looks at it helplessly as Ijin actually did a pretty good job on giving the necessary treatment. 

'But how can a little girl like her get such a heavy injury?' The man was wondering after he saw all the injuries on the girl's body when Ijin was treating her.

'There's many old scars too' while the man was staring at the girl exposed injuries, suddenly he felt like the temperature was dropping again.

He looked at where the chills source came from and was met with Ijin deathly glare. He quickly looks elsewhere and quietly wishes for them to arrive at the hospital sooner as he can't bear to be in this suffocating situation anymore.

Actually, Ijin was not glaring at the man just now. In fact, he's furious from the thought of the person who's causing such damage to Hana and he's also mad at himself for not realizing Hana's condition and his feelings towards her sooner. 

'I won't forgive the person that makes you go through such painful things' Ijin gently caresses Hana's cheeks that don't have that much warmth on them. 

'and I want to tell you about my feelings, so please hang on'

"Um...sir, Can I treat the wound on your head?" The man ask Ijin with a disinfectant and cotton pad on both of his hand. Even though he's kinda frightened with Ijin, he still thought that he has to do his job.

"..." Ijin just look at the man without giving a reply back.

In the end, before they arrive at the hospital, the man could give the treatment for Ijin who's just quietly let the man finally do his work.

Poor man. He can hardly do his job.
