Part 12 : Lifeless

"Y-Young miss?" Jung Woon, who was on his way to enter Mr.Lee office was stopped on his track when he saw Hana walking towards his direction.

Hana nods at him before she knocks on the office door.

"Come in" her father's grumpy voice could be heard from inside.

"Wait, young miss-" Jung Woon wants to stop Hana from going inside because he knows how bad Mr.Lee's mood has been for the last few days.

But, Hana didn't stop herself from going inside and she was standing facing her father right head on.

"*scoff* Well, you finally know how to come back home?" Mr. Lee raised his eyebrow when he saw Hana was looking at him with a serious look on her face.

"Did you do anything to mom?" Hana asks her father straight to the point.

"Is that the first thing you have to say after seeing me?" Mr. Lee walked towards his daughter with a frown on his face.

"Can you see this?" Mr. Lee shows Hana the arm that has been shot by Ijin and she just took a quick glance at it before looking back directly at her father's eyes .

"Did you tell that person that I abused you? such nonsense!" Mr. Lee lowered his arm back down.

"No, I never tell anyone" Hana simply replied. Jung Woon, who had been standing quietly beside Hana, could only lower his head down, as he didn't dare to disturb the conversation from both father and daughter.

"That brat was such a pain in the ass! He even dared to give a warning?! Who does he think he is!" Mr. Lee's anger was overflowing as in the blink of an eye he had slapped Hana hard on her left cheek.

"S-Sir!" Jung Woon was startled by the loud sound from the slap just now and he could see there's already a cut on Hana's lips.

"You stay out of it!" Mr. Lee ordered while pointing his index finger furiously at Jung Woon.

"...Did you do anything to mother?" Hana asks her father again when she hasn't gotten the response of that question from him.

"Is that all you could think about?! When your own father was shot?" Mr. Lee was irritated when her daughter only kept asking about her mother's condition.

"Such an ungrateful brat, you're just as useless as that lifeless mother of yours..." Mr. Lee was about to slap Hana again but this time his hand got stopped by Hana.

"What did you just say?" Hana looks at her father with disbelief in her eyes and tries to ask her father again to make sure that she just heard it wrong.

"Lifeless mother?" Hana repeats her father's words that have caught her attention.

"How dare you stop me!" Mr. Lee releases his hand from Hana grip and walks away from where he had stood just now.

Hana prevents him from going away by grabbing the collar of his shirt and demanding the answer to the question she had asked just now.

"I'm asking you, what have you done to my mother? What do you mean by lifeless?!" Mr. Lee and Jung Woon got startled since this is the first time for Hana to shout angrily at her father.

Mr. Lee quickly pushed his daughter away with all his strength until Hana collapsed to the floor.

"Fine, let's just finish it today as I'm starting to get tired from all of this" Mr. Lee fixes his shirt and looks down at Hana who's glaring back at him.

"You heard it right, your mother had died two years ago" Hana was stunned from hearing what his father said.

"M-Mom...." Hana could only mutter to herself as she was greatly shocked by the information she had tried her best to avoid. She just sat on the floor, in a daze, like a lifeless doll without the strength to move herself.

"Since you like that mother of yours so much, let me send you back together to her side" Mr. Lee pulls out the gun from his drawer and points it at Hana's direction.

"You're just a worthless child who always goes against the rules that I've set anyway, it's really such a waste of money" Hana could only sit still in her position as she can't feel any strength left on her body.

'Right, just kill me. At least, I could be free' Hana closed her eyes, she's ready to accept the end of her life at that moment.

*bang* The gun had been fired and blood was spurting out from the person that got shot.

"Aargghhh!!" Mr. Lee was crying out loud because of the pain in his leg and he glared at the person who had fired the gun at him.

"Didn't I warn you?" Standing at the office door entrance was Ijin. He's the one that had fired the gun first before Mr.Lee could shoot at Hana.

"F*cking crazy bastard!" Mr.Lee clutch on his left leg that has been shot while Ijin walked towards his direction and stood in front of Hana, to shield her from her father's view.

"I should be the one to say that" Ijin fire the gun at Mr. Lee again, this time on his other leg.

"Stop it you b*tch!!" Mr. Lee was shouting at Ijin and lay on the floor with tears flowing out from his eyes.

"I warned you at that time not to touch her, didn't I?" Ijin squatted down and traced the gun in his hand at Mr. Lee's head.

"Should I pull the trigger?" Ijin was smiling coldly to the man who's laying on the ground and ready to fire the gun that's been placed on Mr. Lee's head at any time.

"N-No... Please forgive me! I won't do it again! Please! Hana! My daughter, please save me!" Mr. Lee calls out Hana name desperately when he feels that Ijin would really kill him.

"Ijin..." a weak voice was calling out to Ijin's name and he turned around to look at the person who had called him.

Ijin was frozen in his place when he saw tears rolling down from Hana's eyes.

"I-Ijin..my mom....my mom" Ijin immediately throws away his gun and wraps his hand around to embrace Hana who is sobbing hard. He tries soothing her by gently patting her on her head and carefully patting her back.

"My mom..." Hana can't seem to bring herself to end that sentence and she just cries herself out from all the bottled emotion inside Ijin embrace.

"It's alright, just let it all out" Ijin still gently soothes her and just let Hana cry as much as she wants.

Mr. Lee silently grabs the gun that's not too far from where he is. He quietly pointed the gun towards Ijin's head who had his back facing towards him.

Hana, who had noticed it, quickly turned herself around to protect Ijin from the gunfire before her father could pull the trigger.

"JUST DIE BOTH OF YOU"
