Not Your Fault (Yu Ijin x OC Fanfic)

Part 14 : Lost

Ijin was walking to his apartment after getting down from the taxi, while he piggyback Hana who's still sound asleep.

'She's really light' Ijin thought when he felt that Hana's weight was too light. He's determined to make Hana eat as many as she can in the future so she could be more healthy.

Ijin knocks on the door when he arrives in front of the apartment where he had been living with his family.

"Oppa, what takes you so long" Yu Dayun was the one to open the door and she was surprised to see the person that her brother was carrying on his back.

"Hana unnie?" Yu Dayun asks her brother while making sure to say it in a low voice, so she won't wake Hana up.

"I'll explain it to you and grandfather later after I bring her to my room" Ijin whispers to Dayun before he strides to his bedroom location and gently lays Hana on his bed. He came back out from his room and went to take a seat at the dining table where both his little sister and grandfather were waiting for him.

"Who's that girl, Ijin?" His grandfather was the one to ask him first with a worried look on his face.

"She's my classmate and today she just lost her home" Ijin put his hand together while replying to his grandfather's question.

"Hana Unnie / She lost her home?!" Dayun and Grandfather both were surprised when they heard that statement from Ijin.

"Yes, so I wonder if we could let her live with us for a few days..." Ijin warily looked at his family after saying his request.

"Of course! Ah, I mean, well...Grandfather, actually, Hana unnie has been helping me a lot in the school so I really want to help her in return this time. But if you..." Dayun looks at her grandfather while fidgeting on her fingers, nervous of her grandfather decision, would he agree to their request or not.

"*laugh* Seeing the look on both of your face, I will gladly agree to both of my grandchildren's request" Grandfather said in delight before he told them to start eating while occasionally asking his two grandchildren more about Hana.

After they had finished their dinner, Ijin brought the meal that was prepared by Dayun for Hana inside his room. He places the food on his study desk and walks to his bedside.

"Hana, let's eat some food first" Ijin caresses Hana's head, trying to wake her up from her deep slumber.

Hana slowly opened up her eyes when she could feel the gentle touch from the person that had been calling her name softly.

"Ijin" Hana calls his name, the name of the person who had saved her.

"Here, you should eat some before going back to sleep" Ijin helped Hana sit up before he went to bring the food over. He scoops up the food and waits for Hana to open up her mouth for him to feed her but she just looks at it as she doesn't have the appetite to eat anything now.

"Hana, open up" Ijin looked at her, pleading her to take a bite but she just shook her head weakly at him.

Ijin sighs when he looks at Hana refusing to eat the food so he puts the food back on his desk again before going back to sit on the side of his bed and look at her with worried on his face.

"...I miss her, I want to see my mom" Hana weakly says while holding the tears that's already welling in her eyes again. At this point, her mind was already breaking down from all the stress that she's feeling and she's already at her downfall.

"That's why, you should eat first to gain your strength back to go visit her" Ijin moves to hold both of Hana's hands inside his own and gently caress it. Hana wanted to reply to him that he had misunderstood her meaning, but she stopped when Ijin started talking again.

"Don't give up..." Hana was stunned when she heard Ijin's statement.

"What about me? Can I be the reason for you to keep on living?" Ijin looked at Hana deeply, his looks is saying that he didn't want to lose her.

"There's still many things that you still haven't tried, right? So do I, and that's why... would you please stay together with me? I would love you, I would take care of you, I would let you do anything that you want. So please, don't give up as there's many things I want to do together with you" Ijin squeezed on Hana's hand that he's been holding on to show his determination towards her.

Hana tears slowly fall down from hearing Ijin's confession. At that time, she could feel there's a blissful emotion slowly warm the inside of her heart and she weakly nodded her head to Ijin.

"Alright, let's do it together" Hana finally let out a smile that Ijin had been missing and he also happily smiled back at her. He promptly hugged her and patted her head.

"Thank you, Hana" Ijin gladly said to her, he's delighted that he could stop Hana from thinking about suicide.

Suddenly, a rumbling sound could be heard coming from Hana's stomach. She immediately blush in embarrassment when she hears it, while Ijin lets out a chuckle and pat her on her head before he goes to retrieve the food.

"See, even your stomach was grumbling" Ijin sat beside Hana and fed her the food, which this time she gladly ate it.

After she had finished the food, Hana lay back down on the bed and Ijin covered her up before he went out to wash the dish.

"Thank you, Ijin" Hana said before Ijin closed the door. He smiled back at her and watched her for a moment before completely closing the door.

"Goodnight, Hana" Ijin goes to wash the dishes and meets Dayun, who's waiting for him outside his room.

"How's Hana Unnie?" Dayun inquired as she was worried about Hana's condition.

"She is okay for now and has gone back to take a sleep" Ijin replied to his little sister while washing the dishes.

"Oppa, you said before that she lost her home, does it mean she doesn't have any family anymore?" Ijin had finished his task of washing and turned to look at Dayun while giving her a warm smile.

"We can be her new family" Ijin pat Dayun head after saying that and got a nod as a reply from her.

"It's late, you should go take a rest now" Ijin told to his little sister when he sees the time on the clock that shows it's almost midnight.

"Okay Oppa" Dayun obediently replied and both of them go back towards their own room to take a rest.
